To ask if this watch is a fake? How to tell?

I am scared of getting ripped off and can't help but think this is too good to be true. Educate me please!

I want to buy this watch for my husband for a very special anniversary. It's £320 here in the UK. Way out of my price range.

I've found it on Ebay in Hong Kong for £128. Is it a fake? Or if not, how can it possibly be so much cheaper? It says it comes with everything (original packaging, instructions etc) and all that's missing is the tags. The seller has been on ebay since 2004 and has 100% positive feedback. Free shipping. What am I missing please? Is it worth the risk? How would I even know if it was a fake?

just an FYI.....tesco vouchers can be exchanged for 3x face value to use in Goldsmiths if that helps the budget any!

AND if you don't have them, a lot of people don't know that you can buy the vouchers on EBay, there's plenty that sell them.

I buy Tesco vouchers all the time, typically for just under double the face value - but they can then be exchanged for x3 or x4 the value. I use them for theme parks mainly. Never had any problems.

Great tips, thank you! Especially re the Tesco vouchers (for lots of things not just this!)

Oh I'd love to just risk it, I really would. And cross my fingers. But I think the poster who said that I'd always have a niggling doubt hit the nail on the head. Even for 'just' £128 that's not an insignificant sum and I can't risk spending that and then always wondering if I was ripped off, or waiting for it to break.

Dh had a few fake tag watches from China, they were pretty good copies and you couldn't tell at first.
I bought him a genuine tag earlier this year, the fakes were pretty obvious side by side and not just for the weight of the real thing in comparison to the copy.

You might well be covered by eBay, but bear in mind if you file a 'fake' claim you'll be asked to prove it and generally that will only be accepted on documented headed paper. Very few people will help you there.
If you file 'not as described' you'll have to send it back to China. Yes the seller will provide a shipping label but you may find yourself shelling out for extra tracking. Finally as has been said, you might get stung for import duty too.

Personally I wouldn't touch it.

I wouldn't do it either. I like a shopping challenge but not come up with much. Goldsmiths did have it for 225 but its oos. You could ring customer services to see if they can track one down?
