To think 2nd hand Boden pants are a bit much

Just seen in a facebook selling page a woman selling used kids pants (6pair for £10). Don't think it is creepy as such, but wouldn't you rather just buy your kid new pants from primark / Asda/ Tesco than 2nd hand posh pants. No one is going to see them anyway!

As in underwear or trousers?

Mammylamb · 24/07/2017 23:59

Underwear!!! Knickers!!

No, my motto is usually that I'd prefer good quality second hand than new rubbish but with knickers it's Just. Not. Right. 🤢

Babyroobs · 25/07/2017 00:23

Boden kids pants are extremely hard wearing and they are very expensive so I can see why people might want to re sell them even though it's gross. However there is an Ebay rule against selling second hand underwear so my guess is they will be removed very swiftly if someone reports it. They won't even allow second hand re-usable nappies to be sold due to infection risk.

Gizmo2206 · 25/07/2017 01:01

I saw that too! For age 9-10 or something. If my mum tried to get me to wear second hand pants at that age I would have not been impressed!

anchor9 · 25/07/2017 01:23

the sort of rubbish people sell on FB though Hmm have seen half a tube of lansinoh and a handful of outgrown pampers on there with my own eyes

RainbowJack · 25/07/2017 01:47

Second hand underwear is grim.

Machanochie · 25/07/2017 02:34

Yuck. I love buying 2nd hand clothes but pants (and socks, which I have also seen for sale!) seems a little over-the -top Confused

Only that it has to be clean. You can still sell it.

Yes Gizmo, that's exactly what I was thinking!! I wouldn't wear 2nd hand pants myself; so why would a 9 year old?

OP posts:
Mammylamb · 25/07/2017 07:03

Oh and people were looking to buy them!

I swear 100% cotton pants for adults are about £2.50 or £3 for five pairs in Primark. 6 for £10 still sounds like extortion for kids pants!

StillDrivingMeBonkers · 25/07/2017 07:07

There is even a used section for childrens knickers.

(Although I appreciate 'knickers' in Americanese means 'shorts')

HotelEuphoria · 25/07/2017 07:09

I can't see them, perhaps they sold! Only used crop tops on the now and brand new pants.

Mammylamb · 25/07/2017 07:14

It's not on eBay but on a Facebook selling group.

OP posts:
Miloarmadillo1 · 25/07/2017 07:18

Those group are ridiculous. They sell used stuff for more than Boden sell it for new, once you use one of their perpetual 10%/20%/free postage/sale offers. Who buys used pants?

Coastalcommand · 25/07/2017 08:45

The dirty underwear rule is because weirdos were buying it (for quite a high price I believe!).

Strummerville · 25/07/2017 08:49

Don't see the problem really. My dd has some second hand pants that were in a large bundle of Petit Bateau clothes I bought her. They're fab quality, she much prefers them to her cheapies. They get washed so why is it gross? Confused

nina2b · 25/07/2017 09:48

Seeing hand underwear OR trousers: never.

nina2b · 25/07/2017 09:49

Second...

Grrrr

Witsender · 25/07/2017 09:50

I don't know, I have never bought them but happily buy second hand reusable nappies...
