Wear what you like!

I've worked with people before who thought I was a complete weirdo because I cycled to work. Horses for courses.

Yeah that is a weird thing for people to be commenting about. Fairly standard business dress colour, no? I hope so anyway as it was always a staple for me. I recently cleared out my wardrobes of everything I hadn't worn in 2 years (see pics) - I do sometimes try putting colour in my wardrobe but if this clear out is anything to go by it's a bit of a waste of time.

I wear black in work all year round - black trousers and either plain or patterned but mostly black top, black cardi if cold, never wear work clothes/black out of work unless evening wear.

I just find wearing black simpler/less effort, but still smart for work. No one comments as even through we are an office/professional environment and not customer facing we still have the choice of ordering optional branded work wear that is worn in production sites (smart black polo shirt or black softshell) so black is pretty much the norm.

I WONT' COME IF I CAN'T WEAR MY SIGNATURE COLOUR

No I am saying "I have lots of totally appropriate clothes and am not prepared to spend money I haven't got on an outfit to meet nonsensical standards"

But then people came to my wedding in all sorts from full on hat type outfits to cradle of filth tee and jeans. I couldn't have cared less. What I wanted was a day with all my friends which we all enjoyed.

Imstyledilemma · 24/07/2017 17:36

I don't call it my "signature" for a moment. But I just don't wear colour.

Is it the Kardashians who don't do colour? Confused
They always seem to be in black.

Astella22 · 24/07/2017 17:38
