To complain about pubs noisy music

We live in a pretty village. Every weekend in the summer there seems to be a wedding or party in our local pub. Apart from not being able to drink there ourselves as it's too crowded, they play music until 1am. As it's such a quiet area the noise carries. It's driving me mad, I can't sleep and I have to get up at 6 tomorrow! AIBU to complain,?

My mate is living next to the pub from hell! It was taken over 2 years ago. Formerly a family type pub, now anything but.

Packed to the rafters with builders, scaffolders, labourers every day after the sites kick off, football season the noise is horrendous, screaming shouting in the street. They blocked the street off for 40 mins during the last big game dancing and shouting and standing in the road. Openly using cocaine on the benches outside and lines left in the toilets for their mates, barmaid is the owners daughter and is visibly drunk during most weekend shifts (mate has gone in to complain before re noise and been jeered out of the pub)

She's moving ASAP

I'd complain. We have a similar situation. Tiny old man's pub near us had always been there. It was bought out by new owners recently who introduced bands and DJs until midnight. We have spoken to them (initially very softly, then more robustly) and threatened to talk to the council, who agreed their later license. Problem stemmed from bands opening the fire doors to let cooler air in, and letting all the sound out, plus bands playing over curfew because landlord had gone home leaving inexperienced staff.
We recorded the sound level from inside our house and the fire doors now have strict signs explaining the noise issues.
