To say that my dh's cleaning drives me nuts

We clean different rooms. I 'm finished with my feet up and he's still forensically cleaning skirting boards, with halo that's so big I can't see how he'll get through the door. For me, that level of cleaning is once a year but he does it every time and is so self righteous its unbelievable. When I clean a room, I dust, brush the floor and tidy up. That's it. Am I minging or is he anal?

My dh is very all or nothing with cleaning.
Mostly its nothing.
Then there was the time a friend was coming over for lunch. I had to pop to the shops for something so I asked dh to do a quick once round the living room with the vacuum cleaner. I'd cleaned the previous day, but we had cream carpets and a black cat.
I did say "Don't go mad, just do the bits where the cat's shed."
I get back from the shop and all our living room furniture is in the middle of the room and he's fannying around along the skirting boards.
I asked him what he thought he was doing as my friend would be arriving soon.
He tutted and said he was doing as I'd asked him! I told him to just get the room straight and stop worrying about the skirting boards.
Did he? No. My friend arrived and he was messing about with the rug, room still in disarray. I really was quite embarrassed.

What is it with men and skirting boards? My Dh seems to be obsessed with them

I wish my dh took such pride in cleaning house . Instead it's all left up to me as he wud quite happily sit in his own shit for the rest of his life . He does work long long hours on our farm so it's not like he doesn't help cos he is just being a lazy arse he is actually at work . I'd still love it if he would help out a bit more

I'd just be grateful my DH was cleaning something!!!

I wipe the skirting boards down at least once a week, it doesn't take long at all and they build up a layer of dust quick.

More mental.

My DP has just actually annoyed me by 'cleaning up'. He has wandered around with a bin liner with a fruit shoot bottle, his chocolate wrappers and a few bits out of the fridge that are past their best.

He has 'started' the pots by filling a sink with what is probably cold water and assembling a jenga tower.

And piled a load of toys back into the toy corner that I spent an hour yesterday organising.

He infuriates me more by cleaning than not cleaning.
