So I went back to dating, after a long relationship. Met this guy, he's amazing and makes me feel good, however I was wondering that it would bother you if a man is not too tall (I'm 1.55 cm and he's 1.70)

Would you see that weird? If I'd wear high heels I'd be taller.

I know I'm being superficial, I really like the guy but this puts me off a bit

"I was wondering that it would bother you if a man is not too tall (I'm 1.55 cm and he's 1.70)"
This is a quote from op.
That was op's question. A man not 'my man'
I said yes as I think it would look silly (to me).
She was asking how people would view it.

AliciaMayEmory · 19/07/2017 21:36

I am 5'10" and DH is 6' exactly. When I wear heels I'm taller than him. It's never really crossed my mind to worry about this.

Patriciathestripper1 · 19/07/2017 21:42

I always find it rather odd, and a bit pathetic when posters come onto a thread to pick at the replys other posters leave but not to answer the original question themselves??
What the fuck is that about??

toosexyforyahshirt · 19/07/2017 21:44

I find it a bit pathetic when people say other people look silly because the man isn't taller than the woman with him. Pathetic, sexist and shallow.
And I think you'll find I asked a sensible question of the OP.

Piratesandpants · 19/07/2017 21:44

Op, so you're an oompaloompah and you're concerned that this potential DP is small? Hmm

Groupie123 · 19/07/2017 21:45

I think it's odd when women complain about some male preferences for thin petite women etc and then think there's nothing wrong with women only dating much taller men. Hmm

namechangeshame12 · 19/07/2017 21:45

@Piratesandpants Classy. Are you a bit frustrates?

OP posts:
namechangeshame12 · 19/07/2017 21:46

Frustrated

OP posts:
Piratesandpants · 19/07/2017 21:48

Op, my sarcasm was aimed at your shallowness and ridiculous question.

Ceebs85 · 19/07/2017 21:49

I feel like you're looking for problems

namechangeshame12 · 19/07/2017 21:49

@Ceebs85 looking for problems?

This thread is verd weird.
I'm beginning to think I've missed something here Confused

namechangeshame12 · 19/07/2017 21:50

@Piratesandpants It's not up to you to decide if I am shallow or not. You don't know me.

OP posts:
BobbinThreadbare123 · 19/07/2017 21:50

My XH is 1.85 m tall. My DH is 1.75 m tall. I am 1.70 m tall. Let's just say that DH is a considerably bigger man in all respects that matter. Being able to reach things on the top shelf is handy but a good person is worth a lot more.

ElleDubloo · 19/07/2017 21:51

I also prefer a man to be taller than me. But 6 inches is plenty! Don't know what you're worried about, OP.

Floellabumbags · 19/07/2017 21:51

In heels I'm taller than DH and I have longer legs. That can very much be an advantage if you fancy a stand up shag.

Piratesandpants · 19/07/2017 21:51

'I know I'm being superficial'
You said it op!

namechangeshame12 · 19/07/2017 21:51

@@BobbinThreadbare123 what a lovely way to put it! Thanks. Smile

Since when is "are you a borrower"?
A sensible question Confused

toosexyforyahshirt · 19/07/2017 21:53

Not my fault if you didn't understand it!

corrianderisevil · 19/07/2017 21:56

When I met my now DH some 15 years ago, my best friend said to me at the time 'urgh how could you date someone as short as that' he's about 5ft10 and I'm about 5ft7.

Needless to say it didn't put me off in the slightest. We are now happily married with 3 children. Meanwhile she has remained single for those 15 years and is desperately unhappy.

Girty999 · 19/07/2017 22:00

My partner is slightly smaller than me, I don't care as he is really good to me and my boys and he's awesome in the bedroom, I always wanted a big bear of a man but I fell in love with him, doesn't stop me oggling Jason momoa though mmmmmmhhhjj x

Thegiantofillinois · 19/07/2017 22:02

I'm pathetic and shallow. Growing up taller than everyone else also made me a dog, a munter, fucking ugly and a troll. I like a bloke to be at least marginally taller than me and stockier than me so that I feel less gawky and weird. I'm.still a bit taller than dh when I wear heels though.

Patriciathestripper1 · 19/07/2017 22:02
