To have my life dictated by pets

Arghhh.

I am leaving my DH. Have everything sorted I think apart from cats.

I love the cats but I can't take them with me SadSadSad and no one I know can have them. Rescues are full.

Any suggestions at all? I can't obviously just leave them.

What age and sex are they? Are they neutered? Friendly? In good health?

Booboostwo · 19/07/2017 15:08

It should be quite easy to take three cats to a foster family anywhere in the UK, all you need is a couple of pet carriers and a train or bus ticket.

ConstanceCraving · 19/07/2017 15:24

Good for you for not just leaving them. Hope you can find alternative homes for them.

The cinnamon trust do foster pets for people who are ill- they might be able to help. Dogs trust also run a fostering scheme specifically for people trying to escape domestic violence. I'm not sure if they extend it to cats but may be worth checking their website

Please, not the RSPCA, if they condescend to take them and don't get them a place they will PTS. If they are old they will PTS.

[email protected]

Email Cats Protection, they should be able to put you in touch with someone who can foster them.

Helen was amazing when we ended up with 4 cats that all needed neutering and chipping!

Drop her an email and explain your predicament, I'm sure she'll be able to help Smile

good luck x

Sorry, just seen your in the middle of the UK, you may need to contact someone at CPL who's closer to you.

OP I'm in Warwickshire, I may know someone if you need help rehoming them ASAP. PM me if you want help. Flowers

You poor thing, OP, I hope you get this all sorted soon and are then reunited with your cats again in the future.

ellarosemay · 19/07/2017 16:14

Thank you all for being so lovely Flowers

I've been offered a place in a refuge, but it seems a bit drastic and like I'm being dramatic. Very disruptive for the children and pets of course. Sad It just breaks my heart to think of them being scared and confused (children and animals!)

Hi OP - I'm so sorry to hear about your situation Flowers I've just Googled cat rehoming services, and the Blue Cross have come up in the search results - I really hope they may able to help. Best of luck Flowers
