To get annoyed at 'How's you?'

'How's you?' 'How IS you?' It's just not right!! I want to tell whoever says it exactly that.
DH has started to say it too, and I cannot stop myself from correcting him, which of course he thinks I'm totally irrational for. Does it annoy anyone else?

Never heard anyone say it, but i think if something as trivial as this makes you annoyed, you may have underlying anger issues?

It probably depends who's saying it - a friendly, generally chatty and informal person of the same sex as you, with no "agenda" and a regional accent that makes it sound natural - not annoying, probably not really noticeable.

A creepy cheesy man trying to patronise or ingratiate himself - cringable and infuriating. I knew a man like this who used this phrase and referred to himself as "Mr Surname" when introducing himself to people or calling call centers/ pizza delivery etc. Who does that? "Hello, I'm Fred Blogs" - fine. "Hello, I'm Mr Blogs" - no, unless you are a supply teacher introducing yourself to a class... He did indeed say "simples" and "end of" too. I'm annoyed just remembering him. Prat.

I'm not crazy about it, or "What you doing?"

ChasingHighs I assume the fact you find this thread so tedious explains why you feel the need to come back and post three times? Hmm
