He is as laid back as they come...

He's off work today so is going on ds' school trip. I asked him last night if he was all sorted for it and he rolled his eyes and said yes.

This morning he got up and had a leisurely shower, shit and shave. Pottered about a bit... looked at his phone.... I kept reminding him (as I got ready for work) about the time.

At half 8 he asked where the packed lunches were for him and ds. (We were both at work yesterday, he sat in his backside when we got home - I made tea and ironed, don't know when he thought I'd have made them?)

Queue him running around throwing stuff into bags and shouting to ask where things are!?

I helped ds to get dressed and then I mucked in a bit. In all honesty though I quite enjoyed seeing him flying about muttering about how unhelpful I am.

I usually do 99% of sorting, planning, packing etc.

Feeling a bit crap now on the train though - wibu?

YADNBU - I would have told him that it was at McDonald's as I shoved him out the door.

Why the fuck is someone asking the OP about DIY here?

+I usually do 99% of sorting, planning, packing etc.*

You seem to be defending and minimising now, OP. Does he do his fair share of housework?

If you feel crap about him making a packed lunch then I'm guessing he doesn't. Brew

Not defending him as such - I've said he works hard on the house renovation. I expected HIM to plan for today though as neither of us were doing any work on the house last night.

It's not a DP bashing thread from me - I'll rib him about it later and point out how stressful organising and planning are.

YaNbu maybe it will put into perspective how these everyday things that seem so insignificant make life easier for him.
Also, I would have done the same and not helped, you did ask if he was all prepared and he said yes so thats on him.
