Not sure if I'm bu or not.

We live in an attached house and our neighbours are doing a huge extension. Our problem is that my dh doesn't get home from work until gone midnight and he is struggling with the morning noise. Even earplugs cannot block the noise out!

Yeah, 8 is pretty normal.

The times they are allowed to operate should be spelt out in the planning permission. You can probably check this out online.

My neighbour's builders weren't allowed to start until 8.00, but they arrived most days at 7.40 and sat in their van with Radio 1 blaring out for 20 minutes. I'd have preferred building noise, tbh!

Well my builders haven't turned up for over 2 weeks so bollocks to you all.

Silver lining: the earlier they start, the sooner the job will be finished!

The council are replacing my windows next week and I've been told to expect the fitters to arrive anytime from 7:30am so guessing that's the time builders can start work too
