Nose hairs?

Posting for traffic....
Right ladies of MN - how the hell do you all remove nose hairs? I've seemed to have a bit of a sprouting situation as of late. Hoping it's pregnancy hormones, although I could be in it for the long run.
Tried to tweeze and it was just awful! DH suggested I use his nose hair trimmers but I'm not risking it for fear of them growing back stronger and thicker!
Please tell me there's a quick and easy (pain free) solution!!!

Wax definitely, it really doesn't hurt much compared to pulling one out!

Also a small amount of hair removal cream for around 1 minute gets rid of mine as well (DO NOT leave it on for long!)

Gazelda · 18/07/2017 17:48

I tweeze while waiting to pick up DD from school. It's the only time I get close enough to a mirror for their full horror to be apparent.

MissBax · 18/07/2017 18:01

Haha these replies have made me giggle, I just picture you all tackling the nasal bush! I think I'm going to try the wax, I already wax chin and upper lip so it can be easily added into my repertoire.

I tried a battery-power trimmer, it hurt like hell. I got the following one, and provided you use it properly (keep twirling so it cuts rather than grips hairs) it works well. It's basically a cylindrical scissor that cuts hairs with no danger of cutting anything else.

I saw Kyle and Kim on RHBH getting their nose hairs waxed.

I didn't know it was even a thing!

might have to try it - mine are growing freestyle nowadays.

I'm 49 and I've been pretty lucky on the facial/nose hair front until now but I am definitely getting the odd chin straggler. Last time I got my eyebrows threaded, the woman next to be was having a full on Brian Blessed beard waxed off. Is this my future? Sad

Outnotdown · 18/07/2017 20:55

Does anybody else worry about getting really old and not being able to manage hair removal? Just sitting in a chair with bad eyesight, arthritic fingers and hairs growing wild in every direction. (What the hell is happening to my eyebrows???? Why have they suddenly gotten the urge to travel????)

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 18/07/2017 21:14

Yes!!!!

ShesNoNormanPace · 18/07/2017 21:31

I worry about ending up in hospital - it'd only take a couple of days and my face would be stubble. Do they have mobile beauticians on duty in ICU?

itsonlysubterfuge · 19/07/2017 08:34

Why would you remove all your nose hair? It's there for a reason, to stop you getting ill. I understand trimming it so it doesn't stick out, but don't remove it all! You need your nose hairs....

MaidOfStars · 19/07/2017 08:49

I mentioned this earlier but nobody picked up on it.

Now we're a 'movement' though, we might get noticed Grin

MissBax · 19/07/2017 09:18

outnotdown - YES! I've already told my husband that if I lose my marbles or eyesight when I'm older, he and our children need to make sure my lip and chin are waxed (definitely not shaved)! And that they need to make this very clear to my nurses and carers!
itsonly - I don't want to remove all nose hairs, just the creepers that are making themselves visible!

I found a nose hair the other day that had grown in a complete circle inside my snozz. That, along with the eyebrow hair that grows 3 cms overnight and the random ear hair that really wasn't there the night before but is now almost touching the shoulder, is the future ladies

My DP gets rid of his nose hairs with a lighter...

MissBax · 19/07/2017 10:16

lively - how????

MaidOfStars · 19/07/2017 10:29

You singe the ends off. Very common procedure at the end of a traditional barber's service.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 19/07/2017 11:02

How do you not burn yourself ?

MaidOfStars · 19/07/2017 11:17

Oh sorry, I didn't mean to give the impression that barbers use a lighter. There are various tapers/paper wicks etc that they use to burn out straggly nasal and ear hair.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 19/07/2017 11:20

Oh, shame!Grin

chloesmumtoo · 19/07/2017 11:37

I used to go to a beautition for some occassional facial hair electrolosis and next thing I knew she was trimming up my nose with a scissors Blush

pigsDOfly · 19/07/2017 11:41

Thought you might all appreciate this from a routine from the wonderful Sara Pascoe:

She's going to get a group of young women together to go round old people's homes and pluck the chins of old women; she's going to call it Dignitash. Grin
