Currently pg with DC2.
With DC1 I didn't really have any symptoms or felt I was pregnant until the last month or two when I got really tired, leaky boobs, heartburn and night calve cramps.

This time around seems worse and I feel gross in general, I'm 5 months and so far:

  • first trimester fatigue
  • first trimester nausea
  • first trimester sensitivity to smells
  • developed a haemorrhoid Blush
  • had a UTI
  • constant runny nose
  • very achy boobs
  • already slight cramps in calves
  • back ache
  • and now noticed a small skin tag near my lady bits which upon research found out it can be caused by hormonal imbalance during pregnancy Confused

Feel crappy, down, stinky and gross. For some stupid reason I thought the second time around would be similar to the first...

Aibu to ask you to share your symptoms so I don't feel so left out?

DC1- first trimester tiredness and third trimester carpal tunnel. Slight SPD towards the end.

Currently 34 weeks with DC2 - SPD increasing in severity from week 13. Currently unable to roll over in bed without DH's help. Random rashes. Swollen feet and ankles. Bad skin.

There will not be a DC3.

1st baby

Felt very sick for most of first 15 weeks (only sick a hand full of times though)
Awful tiredness (has never went away)
Heartburn (38 weeks now so it's calmed but it was so bad even water set it off)
I've developed lots of tiny skin tags on my neck?
Lots of freckles, I usually have if i go abroad but it's not normally a lot. Haven't been away anywhere but I'm covered!
Constipated
Headaches (really bad throughout whole second tri)

X

Hypremesis gravidarum
Complete exhaustion
Total meat aversion - in fact, food aversion in general
Very greasy hair / skin until third trimester when very dry
Third trimester carpal tunnel
Second trimester migraines
My body swelled from about 35 weeks - I started to resemble the Michelin man

It was not a great experience for me and for anyone bouncing around saying "apart from my growing belly, I didn't even know I was pregnant" I wanted to punch them in their happy, glowing face. But, sigh, I will do it again at some point but I really, really am not looking forward to being pregnant again

With my two boys I had:
Boy 1: extreme smell aversion, food aversions, extreme morning sickness, dribble, hair growth everywhere, cravings for vinegar,
Boy 2: morning sickness that lasted all 9 months, intense saliva/dribble production, cravings for cheese and ketchup sandwiches, all my freckles joined up on my face into a big brown splodge (which has faded but not gone completely), spd, 'snapping pelvis ligaments' every time I got up.

Gestational diabetes twice. Gained 4 stones twice.

Lingering symptoms after 2 years- baby weight still knocking about, freckle splodge still there, periods like you wouldn't believe, 2 c section scars, and a twinging back.

It really is a magical, magical time.

I get that pins and needles feeling!! Under my right boob though

TowerOfJoyless · 16/07/2017 07:25

Or fanjo, even

LexieLulu · 16/07/2017 07:59

Both my children, I didn't get morning sickness, tiredness, cravings etc. I was a bit gutted about not getting cravings tbh.

First born (son) didn't really know I was pregnant. No leaky boobs, nothing at all.

Second (daughter) where she was sitting inside me was incredibly painful, my kidneys swollen so they were allowing blood to pass into my urine - no bits of blood, my urine was bright red, my back/hips was agony, struggled walking from 5-6 months.

LexieLulu · 16/07/2017 07:59

I did have heartburn with both (they were both bald babies)

Mandraki · 16/07/2017 09:51

Oh my time to shine!!

  • Excessive saliva
  • Gipping at the smell of the cupboard/husbands hair
  • Sweet things tasted salty (salty haribo anyone?)
  • Excessive ear wax/general ear build up
  • Sudden massive hunger
  • Fire boobs, like being attacked by hot poker in right boob
  • Itchiness especially tummy, boobs and legs
  • Bad taste in mouth in early pregnancy (6-10 weeks ish)
  • Hairy belly which is still getting hairier at 28 weeks
  • Spots a plenty
  • Heartburn from very early
  • Insomnia
  • Enormous poos
  • Swollen feet and hands in the heat
  • The ability to find rage in all things

Also I woke up with a numb knee the other day and then the feeling slowly came back with pins and needles. I reckon baby was lying on a nerve. Pregnancy is truly a joy!

kingfishergreen · 16/07/2017 09:58

I had a lucky one, I wasn't sick but felt sick for 14 weeks (a lot of sitting on the bathroom floor, swallowing hard).

I went off our usually fabric softener (even the smell of it now 9 months post partum makes me heave).

I ate nothing but strawberries, banana and Cheerios for months.

It was the weeing I couldn't deal with, six times a night, every 15-20 minutes during the day. No infection (well several infections but those weren't the issue) the issue was her placement over my bladder). By the time DD was finally evacuated via the sunroof I hadn't slept for more than an hour at a time for over a month. That wasn't a fair way to start motherhood.

kingfishergreen · 16/07/2017 09:59

Oh and the moment my nipples got even mildly cold (ie errect) they hurt like the fiery pits of hell.

kingfishergreen · 16/07/2017 09:59

*erect

MumsOnCrack · 16/07/2017 10:01

My worst one was totally going off spring rolls. I still can't eat them. Confused

RibenaMonsoon · 16/07/2017 10:28

Vomiting, vomiting, vomiting and did i mention vomiting?
Hang in there, it wont be forever Flowers

GreenGlassLove · 16/07/2017 12:15

1st trimester
Nausea
Vomiting
Migraine
Dizziness
Fainting spells
Tiredness
Mood swings on an epic scale
2nd trimester
Back ache
Craving chicken ALL THE TIME
Really bad pain in my feet
Randomly crying for no reason but mood swings were less crazy
3rd trimester
Pain in my joints
Needing the loo about a million times a day
Really tired

My first trimester was horrible, the rest was fairly ok in comparison.

Buthewasstillhungry · 16/07/2017 21:25

It was SO hard. I'm stopping at one.

limon · 16/07/2017 21:29

I went off lmost all food. The smell of frying made me wnt to puke. Inlived off bellvita and snack a jacks and kfc.

I was tired for the entire pregnancy.

LouLouLove · 16/07/2017 21:35

everything possible.

morning sickness - every day at the start and again at the end
thrush - repeatedly
carpal tunnel - so much pain
piles
terrible indigestion
'mask of pregnancy'
boobs on fire
swollen feet

awful business.

OkyDoke · 16/07/2017 21:36

Horrendous exhaustion, pgp, spd, sciatica, heartburn has just started at 34 weeks, bleeding gums, back ache, braxton hicks, migraines, utis and therefore thrush, craving ice lollies and bread... 6 weeks to go!

LaVacheQuiPleure · 16/07/2017 22:23

@kingfishergreen was reading through to see if anyone mentioned the agonising nipple pain when cold! I was v lucky... no sickness, no nausea but in first trimester, incredibly sore boobs with the cold thing too. Also had - have - horrendous stretch marks. Remember my midwife gasping in commiserating horror at the reddish purple welts across my stomach.
