AIBU to think this isn't on! As when I run out, it's me who will suffer.

He's dead, why?

If they don't agree with you tell the doctor, take them with you and get the chemist to dispose of them. If your DH needs meds he needs to go to the doctor himself.

Pestilentialone · 15/07/2017 19:08

Sorry, about your father, bad joke referencing the English Civil War.
Now back to DH, does he care about you or the drugs? The way he got your meds off you is not very normal for a loving, caring relationship.

Oitheyaremine · 15/07/2017 19:19

I know ... there are all sorts of issues there.

It'll be Temazepam. Which is a classed as a controlled drug like
Morphine so no don't let anyone take them very dangerous they are controlled for a reason.

Oitheyaremine · 15/07/2017 19:36

No, not temazepam. It doesn't help me anyway. I don't know why people want to know what it is though?

Amitryptaline? You have us all curious that's all. You're not at all unreasonable to want to not share your meds by the way.

I was prescribed Valium when depressed so not sure why pp think it's not prescribed for that: very often depressives have anxiety and insomnia. Mine was a short term prescription, probably a good job as it might have proven addictive. The only drug I have ever taken which did seem to have an effect straight away. Unlike prozac/seroxat which made me very ill.
I guess posters are curious as to what it is OP to see how dangerous it might be and whether your other half wants it because they are a co-depressive or for more dubious reasons eg recreational use rather than insomnia (from my own reaction to it I can totally see why Valium was termed "mother's little helper", why some might use it as a cheap alternative to other drugs rather than straightforward tranquilizer as it really took the edge off. Hence why it was a two-week prescription presumably).

Oitheyaremine · 15/07/2017 19:57

It also has made me very, very achey and sore somehow.

Electrolux2 that was my guess!
Op certain drugs, if you give them to other people are catorgrised as a class c drug.

Oitheyaremine · 15/07/2017 20:00

Well I didn't really give it kali

Make a huge list of problems with the meds and problems with your life (including DH) for when you go to the doctors. It will help them help you and will stop you forgetting things.
