To want an invite to a party?

I feel like a toddler stamping my foot! I have two 'friends' R and C. C is a good friend and we are close. R to be honest I don't really like but our kids are in the same school and are friends, she and C are best friends, she lives in the next street and we go to the same Church and are in the same Prayer group so see each other most days and therefore are friends. I feed Rs children once a week, ferry her son to Cubs and related activities, walk her kids to school when she is ill etc (as a note none of this is ever reciprocated) Tonight R is having a party and I found out by accident when C asked what I was taking as she'd just assumed I was going. Daft thing is i wouldn't have wanted to go but I'm upset not to be invited. AIBU to feel left out of something I don't actually want to go to?

Every Sunday School family expect you? Shock

I'd be considerably less available and I'd be asking C what she thought of this behaviour.

There is a difference between being kind and helpful and being a doormat.

She absolutely should have invited you. Even if you are a complete cow (which I'm sure you aren't).

HaHaHa! If you want to play the martyr go ahead, but don't then whine about it! But a hint for you, people won't look at you and think, isn't she amazing 'thinking of the kids. They will just think you are an idiot!
