Have had a party for DDs birthday - not many kids (8) and one had to bring her little sister as 'they come as a package' (mum doesn't want to be lumbered with one alone - ongoing issue)

Anyway I do pass the parcel - 3 times (as many as I can manage before I cave my own head in)
I was VERY fair - I faced the other way whilst doing the music.

Child with sisters mum 'oh I would have made sure they ALL got a prize.....especially the little ones'

Only hers was a 'little one' - little one was not fussed

AIBU if I had told her to piss off!!!!

(Not relevant but she would not bother putting any effort in for her own children's birthdays and I've been prepping stuff alll bleeding day)

Next time your daughter gets invited to this friend's house/party why don't you rock up with two extra kids (acquire them from somewhere - long lost cousins etc.) and the dog and say,' Today these come as a package' and see what her comment is!

I thought lass the parcel was - like so man tother party games - essentially luck or Darwinian???

At my son's nursery Christmas party p t p was torture. All then.ittle darlings had to get the parcel and unwrap the payer for some haribo. Unfortunately my son didn't get the memo and cottoned on that there were sweets every time and started clutching the parcel. It was priceless.

You should have told her to go and fuck herself.

God the typos

Do you want to borrow my spade now I have hit her over the head with it? Leg each to drag the body?

TheMaddHugger · 13/07/2017 02:36

............... 'You mean the little one that wasn't invited' 👀

Pennywhistle · 13/07/2017 03:20

Actually another pertinent question is did she bring two presents?

If both my twins are invited to a party they always bring a present each. It's very much the done thing among twin parents.

My dm did this with my older sister and I. My older sister would have a this little friendship club where she'd go to her friends for sleepovers and play dates. I was 2 years younger and nd my mum forced her to take me. Sister grew to hate me but we get on better now we don't live together. I loved it at the time but now I feel sorry dm made her do this. I won't be doing this with my dc that's definite.

RudeDog · 13/07/2017 06:49

No we didn't get 2 presents

They're moving away soon, I'm not fussed. The mum is looking forward to it as she can dump the kids on family all the time

I have felt sorry for the kids, their mum is very lazy (her great parenting tip is iPads for them with headphones all day) and they often have 'duvet days' even in august.
DDs friend is now very overweight caused by lack of activity and total indulging in food - I wanted to take her to the beach as she literally never goes anywhere

YANBU to tell her to sod off. That would really grate on me.

KERALA1 · 13/07/2017 07:42

God it would be so tempting to give her some home truths just before they move !
