Her letter is on the Radio Times website, but I said I would post on here to see what everyone else thinks.

Personally, I could watch the wonderful Mr Turner watching paint dry, so I may be biased...

As an example of how close a resemblance it is, I made a sort of mini collage of his face and put in one of Aidan's face in there and showed it to my little sister who has known him since birth and she couldn't tell me which one wasn't him. She just thought I was wierd for sending her a bunch of pictures of my husband's face 😂😂.

I am one who does not appreciate this man's charms! I loved Being Human too, but he's just meh in the Darcy stakes!

Also, I doubt they'd cast the lead from one major period drama in another.

I have a friend who is utterly convinced her partner looks like Alexander Skarsgard.

He really, really doesn't though.

He's more Heathcliff than Mr Darcy.

He would be quite a good Heathcliff. I feel that posters who think that Darcy is beyond the pale for occasionally being a bit snarky at parties would definitely take against a violent man who abuses women, children and animals with equal enthusiasm, imprisons young women and subjects them to forced marriage in order to steal their inheritance and is basically an all round shit.

Darcy a twat? Wash your mouth out never. Darcy is passionate, intelligent, kind, honest, loyal, fair, generous and as hot as fuck!

And what have academics ever done for us eh squoosh? The man they describe sounds more of a dandy, beau brumell type, and powdered wigs were out of fashion by then anyway.

And Darcy's height is more than a number on a tape, it's about being the tallest man in the room. Yes you could cast a 5'10" bloke for historical accuracy but only if you filled the rest of the cast with 5'4" to 5'8" men and 5'0" to 5'4" women.

I welcome seeing him in absolutely anything. In fact I cannot put into words what Aidan Turner does to me! x

Ohhhhh. I said nothing could replace CF but Auden might just be up to the job.

Oh yes a Heathcliff Might spice up WH enough for me to enjoy it. Never watched an adaptation that's done that yet.
