People being disrespectful on fb

Someone on my fb page has posted saying they are heartbroken about Bradley Lowery and may he be free of pain and sleep tight! I know its only a matter of time before its announced by his family that he has passed! But bloody hell find it disrespectful that the person is posting this!

Sorry but its like everyone wants to be the 1st to announce something! I live in a small town where everybody knows each other and someones child has cancer but nowhere on fb can i find anything that says lets support tbem lets fundraise for them..

I feel the same.
Especially when they post "you'll be flying high with the angles shortly"

Don't be so obtuse...

DollyPartonsBeard · 07/07/2017 22:54

I have seen similar this evening. The cynical side of me is wishing that the legacy of these sad events would be people learning the distinction between angels and angles.

@crispsheets
I feel the same.
Especially when they post "you'll be flying high with the angles shortly"

OMG that made me laugh! Blush

Because I have seen this happen.

I have actually seen people post this.

I do disagree with the OP though, and don't think her FB friend has done anything wrong.

@SpitefulMidLifeAnimal

Chill dude!

SpitefulMidLifeAnimal · 07/07/2017 23:10

Whoosh!

MeanAger · 07/07/2017 23:10

Obtuse- angle, get it? Grin

MeanAger · 07/07/2017 23:11

And ^thats the sound of the joke going over your head Grin

Dowser · 07/07/2017 23:13

I know where you are coming from wonders and I too feel uncomfortable about this huge outpouring of grief.
We all wanted him to get well.theres no denying that and it really is very sad to see the child you've given birth to have it's life taken away and you're powerless to stop that from happening
.
Then you read reports like this
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-40143165
Which in m py mind is just ghoulish.
I know I'm not expressing this very well at all.
As he went into a decline, social media went into overdrive at a time when I think his family should have been left in peace.
.
One remark I saw was..I'm going to wear blue tomorrow at work.

I don't know, it just seems Ott to me.

Dowser · 07/07/2017 23:58

They are already haggling about a balloon launch .
The fact that it's going to be in Stockton and not in the local area.

:-(

Notknownatthisaddress · 08/07/2017 00:06

'Obtuse angle' of course. Blush What a fucking twat I am. Grin

Yeah it went right over my head!

Wonders71 · 08/07/2017 06:28

I Just think who are they doing it for because their fb settings are set for friends only so Bradleys family will not ever see them! If everybody who has had a status or changed there picture donated a £1 to a cancer charity thats where they would make a difference.

I'm shaking my head in disbelief here.
There's talk of putting flowers on the war memorial.

I'm also sparing a vhought here for every parent in the uk whose child also died in the last few days or is also terminally ill.

Poor little boy. What he went through was horrendous. Who knows what pain and suffering he went through.( apart from his parents and nursing staff ) I think he deserved better than that account above I posted which I just felt was exploitative.
