It seems really popular! I hate it...it's cheap and tacky. Or is that the appeal? They swear constantly and seem to promote no strings attached sex. I'm not a prude but I don't like my teenagers watching it. But according to my son 'everyone' watches it...

My DD is nearly 16. She came to me and said "it's utter rubbish mum, I can watch it on YouTube", so I said "NO! DD, we'll watch it together" We are (but massively behind. Jonny's just been a cunt to Camilla, I hate Tyla and the boys have just gone off to their new gaff ("what goes on tour, stays on tour")

I'm watching it because the alternative is that my young adolescent watches it anyway without me. We've watch people having sex, 8 couples in a bedroom being 'cosy'. It's horrible. But at least if I watch it with her, I can strike a balance, and she doesn't grow up thinking this is 'normal'

It seems to be on constantly before/after what I want to watch. I told my waxer, who was a fan, that that's why I wasn't keen (trying to be nice) and I'm convinced that's why she did my brows a bit shit

I agree it's rubbish, I don't think they are role models, constantly smoking, switching men, having sex on TV. Having said all that, I am addicted. It is a commitment, every night at 9pm it's on. Be nice to get my life back when it is over.

Agree it's dreadful and normalises complete hedonism. Children home from university watched a couple of episodes so I caught bits of it. Its almost pressuring youngsters to perform. Not very engaging characters and their conversations are dull, to say the least. Most come across as pretty dim, egocentric, vacuous and unpleasant.

I'm watching it now. And enjoying it. But high class, brain stimulating tv, it is not!!

DP and I have occasionally watched it, but we can never do more than a week or so because it gets so boring. It is undeniably utter drivel, but listening to the contestants come out with common phrases slightly wrong so they make no sense with such conviction or the hilarity when they learn a new word and then all start parroting it was good for about a week. Also the way they all rush together when they get a text from the producers, it makes us think of a primitive tribe interpreting signs from the gods.

However, because they are all so so stupid it can be quite entertaining for a while, but then it just descends into repetitive conversations about 'what's your type?' 'Am I your type then?' 'How many people have you fucked?' They are all obviously bereft without phones/social media and they are pretty boring people to watch as a result. We decided that it is best not to spend our leisure time watching/laughing at a load of imbeciles who want to get famous by shagging on tv. I don't really enjoy any reality to though, I can watch a bit but I feel as if it is draining my brain all the while. I used to say I liked it because I could not really concentrate/switch my brain off but in that case it is better not to have the tv on at all.

I do not understand why Camilla is on the show, although DP and I are not sure if she is actually more intelligent than the rest of them or we are biased to think she is because of her accent.
