The obligatory stream of threads about useless drunk and hungover husbands who are either doing nothing all day or still missing from said Saturday night out causing a general shitstorm of anxiety.

OP posts:
RedStripeIassie · 02/07/2017 09:19

And complaing threads about children up making noise or NDN mowing at 05:30.

DuchessofManchester · 02/07/2017 09:22

AIBU threads about not so Dh having another lie in (usually after afore mentioned pissup) while they're up with the kids again.

akaWisey · 02/07/2017 09:23

Hangover cures.

Crunchymum · 02/07/2017 09:28

I find it is actually Saturday's we usually have the "wayward' husband / DP threads Shock

Sunday's are definitely the day of competitive early morning child wakenings.

BewareOfDragons · 02/07/2017 09:50

I will say my DH got up this morning and took our DD to her early swimming lesson. I've done the past few Sunday mornings with her ... because he's been taking the boys off to do one of their sporting activities which can be quite time consuming.

Feel relieved I don't have that weekend morning MN husband.

SasBel · 02/07/2017 09:52

Not competitive here, no one came into our bedroom until 7:15! DH got up to make breakfast, now he is wrangling them in the garden whilst I tidy the kitchen mumsnet

SasBel · 02/07/2017 09:52

Competitiveness ffs, bloody auto correct!

roseandviolets · 02/07/2017 09:53

Someone complaining about their small child waking up early.

IT'S WHAT THEY fucking DO.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 02/07/2017 09:54

I feel fairly lucky today. DH at work from 6am and DS camping with cadets so I have had a leisurely lie in where I was having a brilliant dream, only to get rudely awakened by the house alarm going off.

ethelfleda · 02/07/2017 09:55

No complaining here. I'm still in bed and DH just bought me a coffee Smile
And slept in for me! Half 9 how lazy! But I'm using the excuse that I will have a new born later this year so may as well enjoy it while I can
And good morning all Smile

Notreallyarsed · 02/07/2017 09:55

We're the opposite, DP (who doesn't drink) is at work and DD and DS2 got up 10 minutes ago and have to be ready by 10.15 for church with grandad. Wondering if I should actually be a MNetter Grin

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 02/07/2017 09:56

...squeaking trampoline springs being punished repetitively by small kids next door.

BarnsligRav · 02/07/2017 09:57

I let mine have a lie in this morning as he usually gets up with them first EVERY other morning. He's now thanking me effusively for this, and also for cleaning the kitchen while he was in bed, and making me breakfast.

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 02/07/2017 09:57

^ Not mine, to clarify!

Writerwannabe83 · 02/07/2017 10:08

No complaints here.

DH got up with DS at 7am and shortly after took him out for breakfast. They then came home, DH made me a sausage sandwich and then took DS swimming.

I'm still in bed Grin

sobeyondthehills · 02/07/2017 10:10

mine has gone to work.

He has forgotten his phone, so I can't message him telling him how loud DS is being.

might drop his phone into him

It's such better when the kids are old enough to get themselves up and you can lie in and have breakfast in bed and sex.
I miss that.

WhatInTheWorldIsGoingOn · 02/07/2017 10:40

My husband has got up pretty much every morning since records began 15 months ago when DD was born. She doesn't sleep at night so I stay in bed in the morning. His lie in is from 4.30am-7am when I'm up with her!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 02/07/2017 10:44

My DP is still in bed after getting in at 7:30am after a night shift. What a lazy arse he is! He was up anyway, he could have taken DD downstairs and entertained her for a few hours right? Grin

ragdoll700 · 02/07/2017 11:14

My DP is on holiday this week starting today so I got to sleep in till 10.30 and have a lovely relaxing bath on my own not one little person in the bathroom the entire time.
