AIBU?

Is it acceptable/funny/ moral/appropriate to scare your kids like this for Youtube? Or is it just normal fun?

I'm not clicking then link. However, there was a dad who was absolutely vile tormenting his son in particular recently. He lost custody of his children because of it.

Why would you vide that? It's not particularly hardcore but it's very odd and not particularly nice of him!

Same as above poster don't want to click but there was a blogger who was emotionally abusing his son through pranks on a video blog and he lost custody as a result.

I hate stuff like this, if your child is scared or upset or crying surely the right thing to do is interact with the child rather than standing back and videoing it and putting it out there to be laughed at.

It's really cruel, and I think the same about the adult versions too.

The posters above are talking about DaddyOFive. I have watched that video and the video posted above is nowhere near as bad as DaddyOFive that was disgusting child abuse and he had his kids taken from him for those videos.

As someone else said, it's not hardcore but why would you film your kids and put it on Youtube for the world to laugh at?

The daughter seemed to have the only empathetic response - even though she was scared, she tried to comfort her brother. I have no idea what would make parents want to do that to their children, let alone share it with the world.

My 8 year old daughter was a fan of this family for a long time, then I saw these types of things and decided I did not want her watching it as the parents' motives for filming seem a bit twisted and not particularly child-friendly despite having a million followers. I wanted to know what other parents thought, maybe your child is watching this family too but you are fine with it
