I used to do a monthly shop and spend about £90. Freeze all the veg and meat and then do the occasional little shop for fresh stuff. I was probably spending about £110 max a month on food.
All that eating packaged and processed sauces etc. has made me pile on the pounds.
I now want to start eating fresh in the hope to lose some weight. But this is costing about £40-50 a week! This seems like a massive amount to me in comparison to what I normally spend and I don't seem to be getting much food for my money!
What do you buy in your weekly shop and how much do you spend?

£80-£130 per week depend DH what we have already or what cleaning stuff runs out. 2 adults 2 kids and a dog. Cook from scratch most of the time.

c £90/week for 3 adults and one older teen, not including lunches for 2 of the family

cook from scratch, healthy fresh diet most of the time, 3 meat-free days a week

could do it cheaper but rather enjoy trying out new things

4 adults (we all cook separately including the 18 year olds). About £150 to £200 a week.

If you want to spend less you could try just eating lunch and dinner and no snacks. That way you might only need a tin of fish for one meal and eggs for the other with your veg. It does NOT cost a lot to eat unprocessed food.
