AIBU?

Repetitive question annoying me - AIBU?

This is petty but its really winding me up.

I have a friend (same age, 26 yr old females) where every time we arrange a meet up, she will ask me 3-10 times beforehand (at weekly intervals) when the date is planned for. I tell her, then she asks me again. I've asked why she doesn't have a diary and she says she sometimes uses it but not all the time.

Anyone got any good ideas of what to say to her to make her sort it? No point buying her one as I know she has one and she has an iPhone. Finding it tiring. Should I just get over it?

I'd just tell her once and if she forgets the date not make plans with her again!

Tell her and if you are with her make her put it in her phone's calendar.

Alternatively tell her and then send a text with the info.

Id be tempted to say, "look we arranged this, if you cant be bothered just say so."
Or " if its not important enough for you to remeber lets just cancel"

All the repeptitive questions come on text anyway (after agreeing the date on text in the first place). She can't be bothered to scroll a little to confirm the date.

"What date are we meeting again?"
"Use a diary or scroll up - it's in your messages. I'm not your mum!"

These repetitive questions via text seems to be becoming a thing.
I can only think it means the questioner gets replies and therefore, by seeing their phone light up, is made to feel more popular.
It is my only explanation for"still on for the morning?", "same place as usual?", "if I'm there first, shall I get you a cappuccino?" etc.etc.

Put the event in your iPhone calendar (date/location etc), scroll down and add her as an invitee and it will appear in her calendar. If you add an alert (2 days, 1 week or whatever) she will be reminded before the event.

@crunched

Checking that you are still on for drinks later is a good idea I hunk! People forget stuff!

It annoys me to have to go back myself and get a screenshot of the date. Like why should I have to do that? Maybe I just need to drop it as I doubt its going to stop unless I say something. Someone at my work suggested 'I'm not your PA'

Maybe reply with 'whatever we decided on in the text last week'

Tell her you don't remember. Or ask what plans? She'll doon have to put the effort in.
