Am I Bu to offer one person a free night stay at a village hotel?

I've got a voucher for a free night stay at any village hotel, it's for one night, limited availability and only lasts until September.

So I thought with all the mumsnet advice of 'leave DH with the kids and book yourself into a hotel' someone may want to make some use of it.

Have your self a nice little break.

Just let me know on here if you want the code, obviously first come first served. Please don't pm me, I'm useless and can't work out how to read them

Chances are the person who did it wouldnt have posted on here, just nicked it, used it and fucked off.

This - big, international site with literally millions of lurkers - could have been absolutely anyone.

It will be easy enough for the chain to find out who it was as they just have to trace who booked with the code so whatever else happens, they wont be getting a free night.Although part of me hopes that they dont find this out until they get there.

Can't really see them doing that, though. The Cheeky Swipy Person is cheeky, but they haven't really done anything wrong - they've legitimately used a valid code put up on one of the biggest international boards going.
(I'm not talking about morally of course, as it was a crappy thing to do when it was a gesture made out of kindness.)

What a crap thing to do- some people are so greedy and snide when they think they won't be caught- it would be a much nicer world if people weren't so grabby and self interested.
Nice thing to o though NoBull, and good on you for contacting the company, so the code can't be used by the shitperson who claimed it.

Thanks Jeff, the app doesn't have those dots but I've just gone onto the site via safari and can access the dots for messaging there. Noted for next time.
