Because I'm making a statement tomorrow about something that happened when I was 13.

I don't know how much I'm allowed to say on here, because I've read somewhere that we're not allowed to talk about ongoing cases or something? Also, I CBA to namechange.

A few flowers or loveshapes 💟 would be so appreciated right now

Oh, and if the piss-taking offends anyone, I'm sorry. I can't actually be sorry for actually taking the piss, though- humor is sometimes the only thing which has kept me going. I find that, if I can find one thing to snigger about in a situation, it seems less daunting!

I had the policeman in stitches on the phone the other day. I mentioned that, when I made the (10 or so hours) statement about xourt, I'd got through two huge bottles of Lambrini because I was sneaking it in the kitchen, half a pint at a time. He joked that it probably wasn't a good idea and I said "tell me about it- Lambrini's crap! This time I'll stock up on Merlot!"

He apologized for laughing- idiot!

I don't want to be arrested- I haven't caught up on Corrie yet, the cats need feeding, and it eould be most inconvenient!

It shouldn't matter. The question is whether it prejudices a fair trial, and those who know you would be precluded from sitting on a jury in such a case anyway by virtue of that fact.

I'm gobsmacked that this is what you were on the phone about to the police and she is whining about you not letting her in!!!!! Fucking hell some people are actually beyond belief.

Anyway, if you need humour to deal with it then you carry on. I bury mine and not think of it at all if I can help it which I don't think is the healthy thing to do but I can't really do anything else.

I hope you bring the bastard down!

MyPatronu people deal with it in different ways. You bury, I take the piss, someone else does this, that and the other. I'm no more of a survivor than you! Look it up in the dictionary- survive= stay alive. We are both still here and posting!

I often feel really humbled by people on here. I have had a fairly straightforward life,nice childhood, no major issues. And I come on here and people are dealing with stuff I have never had to deal with.

You are amazing OP. I live in Rotherham. I am 39. I went to school with some of the abusers and some of the abused.

Without people like you it would still be a dirty little secret. Times are changing because of people like you. You are making it safer for my DD. And giving strength to people who have suffered.
