Bit grossed out as I type, has anyone else experienced number two coming out of (female) number one area? As far as I know, I am not poorly, but this is weird. Any help would be great. I have booked a gp appt cos its odd, but wondered what other folk had experienced in the mean time. Thank you.

Anal fistula?

eatingonlyapples · 25/06/2017 18:41

Er, that should not happen. Ever. Are you sure it was number 2 and not old, dry period blood, which can be brown?

peachgreen · 25/06/2017 18:42

No personal experience but that sounds like a vaginal fistula OP. Definitely see your doctor asap.

GreenHillsOfHome · 25/06/2017 18:44

Odd?

It's a bit more than odd and something that shouldn't happen at all.

Haven't you googled? That would be the first thing I would do, to help me decide if I was going to go to the Doctors or A&E.

StripeyZebra1 · 25/06/2017 18:45

Eating, no, I havent had periods for probs a year and a half, kinda early meno. It was defo No2, its in my pants too. Excuse me while I heave!

Presumably yo have had children?
You have a fistula (connection) between your rectum and vagina (through the back wall). You need to see your GP and be referred for investigation and repair.
I'm sorry this sounds horrible for you. Flowers

Rainbunny · 25/06/2017 18:49

Well I get the impression that you're not in pain at least but for goodness sake go straight to the ER now, if this is a fistula you'll need surgery. The sooner you get medical advice the better.

FastAbsorbingCake · 25/06/2017 18:49

You need to get this checked out asap.

StripeyZebra1 · 25/06/2017 18:49

God, Greenhills, I never thought A n E was necessary. You are worrying me now.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 25/06/2017 18:50

Yes get it seen to. A doctor will have seen this before and worse so please don't feel embarrassed. There's a high risk of infection.

GreenHillsOfHome · 25/06/2017 18:51

I don't mean to worry you and A&E may well not be needed...but if it happened to me I'd have no idea of the right course of action so would research to help me decide.

StripeyZebra1 · 25/06/2017 18:53

Thanks for your replies, I have horrible anxiety, so am trying to stay calm about this. I have a gp appt at 10:30 tomorrow, and as embarrasing as it is I will ask for help. I do have back pain, do you think that would be related? Sorry, I'm such a chicken. Yes I am a mum, but it was c section.
Thankyou all.

Why don't you ring the non emergency NHS number 111 and ask for their advice....better to be safe etc...poor you...the things we have to go through - hope you get it sorted

peachgreen · 25/06/2017 18:56

Ringing 111 is a good idea, it would give you some reassurance. I don't think you need A&E - it's not life-threatening - but it definitely needs checked out asap.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 25/06/2017 19:03

Back pain could be related. A urinary tract infection could be a possible cause. Mention all your symptoms to the gp.
Try not to panic tonight. The main worry is if you suddenly develop a high temperature and start to feel very ill. Ringing 111 will help to allay some of your worries.

Foggymist · 25/06/2017 19:13

That has to be an anal fistula.

Gudgyx · 25/06/2017 19:15

Yep, recto vaginal fistula. I had 4 of them (Crohn's disease) had to wear pads for about 4 years while I had setons in to drain them.

Not pretty! Sorry you're going through that, wouldn't wish it on anyone

StripeyZebra1 · 25/06/2017 19:20

Just rang 111, the guy was really lovely as I was a bit tearful and embarassed, a nurse is calling me back. Thank you to everyone that has been kind enough to offer their advice.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 25/06/2017 19:23

That's good, Zebra They do sometimes take a while to ring back so try to relax in the meantime. I hope you get it sorted soon, Flowers

regrouted · 25/06/2017 19:29

This sounds like a rectovaginal fistula - so a hole has formed, usually over some time, between the vagina and rectum. It's really really distressing, but most are not emergency situations - but it must have been such a shock for you to see what had happened.

Normally, they tend to need surgery in order to be repaired. There's different reasons why they occur - childbirth injury/hysterectomy/other abdo surgery or different types of bowel condition.

I do hope you are treated with kindness and sensitivity if you are suffering with the above and get things sorted very soon. Best of luck Flowers

Rulerruler · 25/06/2017 19:39

I've worked in Gynae clinics and this is something that can happen - a fistula is just a tear between the two passages. I know its alarming but please don't panic and it will all have been seen before!

StripeyZebra1 · 25/06/2017 19:45

Thankyou everyone. The female nurse called me back, her specialism was gyne, she was lovely. Very reassuring. I didnt even know "that" could happen. Its all about keeping things clean and seeing a dr. Bloody nora I thought teenagers and revision was stressful!!!!

peachgreen · 25/06/2017 19:51

Glad you're feeling a bit better OP - hope the doctor is helpful tomorrow.

StripeyZebra1 · 25/06/2017 19:53
