Paid for privately by me, of course, although I'd have to save up.

Dh is supportive.

Going by your height, I'm guessing you need to lose around 6 stone to be at optimal weight?

I know you've said you've numerous diets, but have you tried other methods like seeing a nutritionist, a PT and maybe counselling for your issues with food? Going to group weight loss sessions, etc? Are there things you can do to help (if it's fast food related, can you drive home a different way so you aren't tempted/ take public transport, etc)? If it's eating when bored, can you look at finding a hobby with your hands (console gaming, knitting, drawing, etc).

I think people forget sometimes that while surgery with help with the weight loss, you still need to deal with the reasons for overeating otherwise you can end up doing yourself more harm than good in the long run.
