My poor nephew has been labelled by the staff as a problem child because his behaviour has gone astray! He's one of the oldest in his group and they have refused to move him up. He's so bored, as he's very bright, just like his auntie .
My sister was told yesterday by IMO a very immature member of staff that no-one wants to play with him now .
Anyone else had this expeience
I honestly want to go down there and let rip!!!!!!!!

I would remove him from that particular nursery and start him somewhere else if possible.
He may be acting up because he is more advanced than the other children if he's one of the oldest.
For a staff member to say that is not very nice.
What are your sisters feelings on it?

Mumpbump · 21/03/2007 11:47

I think all nurseries have a complaints procedure. I would definitely make a complaint - I don't think any member of staff should be making comments like that!

thelittleElf · 21/03/2007 11:47

OMG she is heartbroken
When our mum finds out about this she will hit the roof....might bhave to hold her back from going down there aswell
Hopefully she will be able to get himj into another nursery, and i'll help out with collecting him for her as much as i can.
I think i'm still in shock tbh....this little guy means the world to me

This is completely unacceptable and I think needs reporting!!!! You poor family.

hoolagirl · 21/03/2007 11:49

I think some people forget that children are children iykwim

thelittleElf · 21/03/2007 11:54

Well i have a very good contact , so i can assure you this will not drop until something is done about the incompatance/immaturity of some staff members!
I just can't stop thinking about my little guy

off thread subject i thnk you sis is lucky to have such a supportive sis....

thelittleElf · 22/03/2007 14:26

The latest is that my sis is giving them a months notice, and he's being moved to a FANTASTIC new nursery. And the best thing is, i'm going to be able to collect him on the odd day, because it's only 10 mins from my house.
The nursery will be getting a visit soon aswell from someone

I hope you have reported them to OFSTED ,its called exclusion and comments like that can give the little one a bit of a complex !!! I'm doing NVQ at the mo with some nursery staff and some of them look and act about 12.Glad yr sis has found somewhere nice

thelittleElf · 23/03/2007 11:56

Thanks everyone - charmedhay, they are having a visit from someone (sorry can't remember who they were), but she had to make an appopointment. So i bet they will be on their toes when she comes .
I'm to understand that ofsted are the only people who can drop in unannounced, and i'm hoping my sister will have the confidence to give them a call, as this nursery really needs looking in to!!
A months notice is being given on monday, and he has a new fantastic nursery and staff waiting for him

MILLYmo0se · 09/08/2022 12:29

V old thread tundra

drawacircleroundit · 09/08/2022 12:30

…although he must be about 17 now.
How did he turn out, I wonder?
But still 🧟‍♂️

rainbowandglitter · 09/08/2022 12:32

Another zombie thread. Tundra how are you finding all these?

vivainsomnia · 09/08/2022 12:33

My DS was a bit challenging at nursery when he was 2 1/2. The nursery made the decision to move in to the pre-school room. He was very tall and bright but was still surprise as children only moved at 3 at the youngest.

Probably spurred by space requirement but that's the best that could have happened to him. He thrived on the structure and starting to learn reading, writing and counting. He was a complete changed child with very good behaviour.

SillyDoriswithaDangler · 09/08/2022 12:33

I wondered why the posters were being so nice. Not as many arseholes around 15 years ago!

MILLYmo0se · 09/08/2022 12:35

I was a bit surprised too SillyDoris, not a single YABU for multiple family members wanting to go read the riot act.... How things have changed!!
