To be a bit confused about teacher gifts

Who do you buy gifts for? My daughter has a main class teacher but has several other teachers and helpers (SEN) throughout the week, half of them I don't even know their name. Do I just buy a gift for her main teacher? Confused

You don't need to know the TAs name. If you feel they've done a good enough job to warrant a gift then give it to the teacher and say it's for the TA in x, y z class.

Personally - i don't buy stuff for the school staff. I was a TA for 8 years and so know the inside story so to speak. The best thing you could give is a note or letter from you and/or your DC telling them they've done a good job and how they'll be missed/how much difference their work has made/how much you're looking forward to seeing them again after the summer ect. In the case of SN support, a letter in appreciation of lots of one to one hard work is really gratefully received.

As a teacher I have appreciated all the little tokens I've received over the years but I really do treasure the lovely notes and cards given to me.i had a tough year a few years ago and I came across the box and loved to 're read the comments. Also agree with a wee note to the head.

The gifts at end of term are goodbye gifts. Why would a guide leader get a good by gift at the end of term?

My mums worked at a school as a TA, after school clubs and works with nursery at dinner for over 15 years so you can imagine all the presents she's got especially if you include Christmas ect. She keeps all the cards and letters but the key chains and cups ect all get given away, even bath stuff and candles she saves for the next school fate. She loves the personal stuff like letters, cards and especially if they write how she has helped them over the last year. If you email the head teacher or write to her, my mums school has a teachers assembly and they award the teachers with head teacher award stickers :)

Secondary teacher here. It's my job and I have no expectation that i will get any gifts. Please don't feel under pressure.
