I'm on maternity leave and DH is working long hours. Please share with me what you are binging :-) I need some ideas. I'm currently watching Mad Men.

Suits, The Thick of It (again), just finished Black Sails, Vikings is good.

misskatamari · 16/06/2017 16:14

UnReal on amazon - so good and really different to anything I've seen before.

Nymerialuna · 16/06/2017 16:16

Oooh and Gotham is pretty good well if you're into superhero / comic stuff
Game of Thrones if you can face it. Just be wary of S3E9 in particular, especially being pregnant.

beepbeeprichie · 16/06/2017 16:21

Also on mat leave!
Drag Race is awesome (netflix) Give it a go- season 1 is mildly amateurish but it gets better.
If you like horror type stuff then The Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead or Preacher (amazon prime). Supernatural and Grimm also great and easy on the eye Grin
Seinfeld is on prime. You forget how amusing that is.
For thriller, have you tried Billions or Little Big Lies? Riviera has just started on sky and all is available for download. Watched the first two and it was good so far.

Just got NetFlix so am starting at the very beginning of House of Cards. Not bingeing exactly, because I have a limited supply of time so I end up watching it in 20 minute chunks at the end of the day while DH has his bath. The Chromecast I got for the kitchen telly was worth every penny, because it means I can watch it while I stack the dishwasher and feed the cats. It also means I'll be able to watch the new series of GOT first thing in the morning while I unpack the dishwasher, have a leisurely cup of tea and make the DC a much more time consuming breakfast than I normally bother with.

If you have Amazon Prime, Lucifer is my absolute favourite. Season 2 finished a couple of weeks ago and now have withdrawal symptoms waiting for season 3 to begin in September. I tried to watch American Gods, forced myself to watch three episodes but agree with many of the reviewers on Amazon that it is rubbish so have given up. Constantine on Prime was enjoyable but they only made one series.

I recently joined Netflix on a month's trial and cancelled today - there wasn't enough of what I enjoy watching to actually pay monthly. Are there any others similar to Netflix which would be worth trying?

On freeview tv - channel 38 - Quest Red - I'm enjoying Say Yes to the Dress (it's about Kleinfeld, a wedding dress shop in NY) and Bondi Vet is enjoyable on the same channel. Lastly, channel 25, Home channel are currently showing Australian Masterchef each evening at 7pm.

Thoroughly loving it, despite being confused most of the time Smile. It is very adult ...

Forget the 70s, this really is a golden age of television. To be honest, I suspect that MrsLH and I have already reached the event horizon ... from hereon in, we haven't enough time left to catch all the great TV that is out there and still being made.

Acrasia · 16/06/2017 17:52

The Good Wife
