In feeling annoyed with couples who take up large family homes but have no children

Friend of mine and her partner have just bought a really big 5 bedroom family house. They are both mid 20s, no children but claim they intend to start a family soon.... They bought the property on this basis. ABIU in thinking this is ridiculous. There is no guarantee they will even be able to have children let alone multiple. The house is in a fantastic area, nearby to a wonderful school and I know any houses in the area are snapped up as soon as they are on the market. My friend was up against lots of families who all placed offers on the property, however my friend trumped them all with a better offer. I feel this is a total waste of a large family home and can't help but feel it's ridiculous and rather greedy and selfish!

We don't have to exterminate the human race. We just need to consume far less than we do now. We need to have fewer children, ditch the car, become vegetarian, stop shopping all the time, holiday in this country, stop being wasteful and start being responsible.

namechanger lweji jog on. If i want to own 2 or 4 or 8 houses the I will and I'll do what I want with them. If I pay the morgage, stamp duty, bills and maintenance why the hell shouldnt I? And no I bloody well won't rent out my 3 spare rooms

Jesus, Miss you sound rather like a petulant child. And I don't think you've understood Lweji correctly.

A five bedroom house isn't overly large; they may have a bedroom each, guest room, library and office.

I think if 5 in 6 people on the planet died we would be nicely sustainable.
Cutting back a bit on flights etc does not make a massive difference and we are only on the planet anyway for a historical blink of an eye as humans. We are just temporary residents.

I listed a few more things than just cutting back on flights. I think you're just trying to justify your greedy way of life; in the same way I justify eating two ice creams - well I'm going to die anyway.

Some people thought I was posting seriously after writing this?

I'm thinking no 10 could house a large family and Buckingham Palace could become a hotel.

Wow well aren't you just a horrible jealous little twat because let's face it that's what your post boils down to the fact that your jealous. Your not really a friend are you if you've come on here just to bitch about your friend. Also what your friend chooses to do with her ovaries is really none of your business. Focus more on your own life and little less on your friends life and what they choose to do with their own money.
