To be furious with DH for chucking away my wax strips?

Needed to do my moustache but the fucking idiot binned my wax strips and I didn't realise until it was too late to nip to Boots. But I had some Veet in the bathroom cupboard so thought I'd use that. What was the worst that could happen, right?

BIG MISTAKE. The hair is gone but my upper lip area is now tight and red Angry Aloe Vera made it sting even more, so am now sat here with a Sudocrem moustache in the hope that that'll help.

Please tell me it'll be fine by morning - I have a big meeting tomorrow! The skin isn't broken, just a bit red and swollen.

I'm thinking this is grounds for divorce...

Well it's still a bit red this morning but the soreness is gone and I've put a tiny bit of makeup over it. FX I it doesn't flare up again during the course of the day!

In future, cut up some old fabric and use that instead of wax strips, it works ;) something non-stretchy. Canvas or cotton or that kind of thing. Pillow cases work.

Honestly shocked you used hair removal cream on your face that wasn't specifically made for facial use. The skin is much thinner on your face, even than the bikini line and regualr removal cream or even the sensitive skin one for other body parts is still way too harsh for the face. Nair do a facial hair removal cream, its very nice stuff, doesn't have that same burning hair smell of the stuff for legs and bikini line.

If you ever do the same thing again in future i cant recommend savlon cream enough. I have OCD and at times i have to use bleach to wash my hands and have ended with some pretty nasty chemical burns, and the only thing that has taken the sting out and aided in fast healing is using savlon cream, reapplying often. It's not waterproof like sudocreme, so it works better.
