(BBC) Incident at Finsbury Park, England: vehicle "mowing down a number of pedestrians". This is a breaking, developing situation so not much more is known at this stage.

They broke into our programming, but it was just a short blurb. They're saying that a van mounted a sidewalk outside a mosque. Someone has been apprehended and there are fatalities(?).

Am I the only one thinking this sounds like a copy-cat attack? I know ISIS and their like disapprove of a lot of their fellow Muslims but Finsbury Park Mosque has a history of being associated with radicals in the past.

Or revenge attack; or an attack on a different sect?

From the reporting so far, the driver at Finsbury mosque doesn't seem to be aligned to a cause or organisation. Would that make this a hate crime, rather than a terrorist attack? Either way, it is appalling that people have been targeted in this way.

As so often with the US military, the seven sailors killed in #USSFitzgerald collision are as diverse as the country they defend.

When's the last time Trump got favorable news coverage: bombing Syria to change the subject.

This is an opinion piece - but I think I agree with most of what it says - Trump is nothing more than just a thoroughly nasty piece of work. He didn't/doesn't have the nouse to collude with the Russians. However, he is now digging a hole to obstruct justice that hopefully he will fall right into, taking his despicable underlings with him.

If Trump were really in league with Russia, that would be reassuring for America's civic sanity.

Trump is likely to be found guilty of nothing more than being an unscrupulous jerk.
