Would ibu to shout that out the window? Noisy bastards somewhere behind my house are having a party. All I can hear is bad singing and then wooing. I may be being a little unhinged but I've been up since 5 for work and have to be up again early in the morning. They've woken Dd up 3 times and now she won't sleep.

7 am mow the lawn. 8 am get the (any kids) kids having a water fight in the garden. Do your recycling and build it up to a recorder practice in the garden.

Springersrock · 11/06/2017 09:06

One of our neighbours had a party last night too.

Lots of woo-ing, one woman with the loudest, most irritating Jimmy Carr-esque laugh known to man.

Also had an Oasis sing (well, more shout) along and a bit of 'la la la de dum Mr Brightsiiiiiiiiiddddddeeee'

One of the other neighbours bellowed out of their window to shut the fuck up in the end

Feel for you OP, it really is a nuisance.
My NDNs had a party last night, that went on until midnight. They had kids still awake (youngest 4/5), running around inside the house and in the garden screaming and shouting. Adults were drinking, singing and shouting over the top of each other to talk.

I wouldn't have minded as much if I wasn't extremely tired (pregnant), and my DS wasn't poorly, as they don't usually have parties.

Oldraver · 11/06/2017 09:56

I have neighbours that last year would argue for hours on end...well really it was her screachiness shouting at him. It did drive me barmy that you couldn't sit outside without hearing all their personal details.

Anyway a friend made me a cd on loop of shut up, shut up, just shut up, shut up... I never got to use it as they calmed down she got the re-mortgage she was after

I should lend it out Grin

There were people in our communal garden until about 5.30am this morning, talking loudly and playing music. It's an air bnb so we've dobbed them in to the owner - there were at least five people there and pretty sure it only sleeps three so I hope they get into trouble.

Grin

I do feel your pain OP.

My neighbours are all bloody noisy buggers when the weather is nice.
I am their perfect neighbour though as I sleep through it all in the main. Plus they are lovely if there is ever a problem in the street...all really supportive.

But oh my....when the weather is good. WineWineWineWineGinGinGin

Peppa pig or similar playing at full volume is a killer for hungover people.

No. Andrew Lloyd Webber. Or Sinatra singing My Way over and over again.

YEAH! I can lend you some cousins' children who can wake the dead when they get excited!

Noisybastardsshutup · 11/06/2017 10:29

I'm wondering now if a couple of you are my neighbours or if there are a lot of people feeling the love for Oasis. The problem with revenge noise is I have no idea which house it was. I couldn't see anything last night just hear it loud and clear.

I HATE wooing! There's no need for it....EVER.

ssd · 11/06/2017 10:33

figure out which house the noise was coming from op and get hold of their phones number...and phone them every 15 mins from 6am onwards the next time they make a racket

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 11/06/2017 10:50

I once bellowed out the window at 2 on a Thursday morning to a student party "shut the fuck up, and shut your fucking windows - some of us have to go to work in 4 hours"...... and got a round of applause from the rest of the neighbours who were also wide awake. The arse holes went indoors, closed the windows keeping the music inside and stopped partying in their terraced back garden midweek. Thank god.

Are you in the southwest noisybastard?

Noisybastardsshutup · 11/06/2017 18:20

Yes I am.

Awaywiththe Pixies - similar thought to me. We have a couple of pigeons in a tree outside our bedroom and that was what I was expecting with "woo-woos"

barrygetamoveonplease · 11/06/2017 18:35

Wooing? On MN? I thought this would be a thread about ghosts.

WhatALoadOfOldBollocks · 11/06/2017 18:45

Bit early to complain, I think. If it's not died down by say 2.00am ish then YANBU

And right there is an insight into why some neighbours think they have the right to make as much noise as they like, late into the night, despite the fact that many people have to get up early for work. Adults, on average, tend to need 7-8 hours quality sleep per night. If they have to get up at say 6am then that means they need to be asleep at 10/11pm. Not still awake and getting peed off at selfish neighbours at 11pm. 2am is just a fucking piss take!

Yep. You know what time my Neighbours party finished last night? 4am. Mind you she didn't start it until gone 10:30pm. Hmm

Ignorant knob she is.

Ferrynice · 13/06/2017 11:50

Me too. I wonder if we have the same neighbours?
