Only kidding, but since I have your attention please don't forget to vote. Lovely sunny evening for a stroll.

If you're not sure where your polling station is you can find out here: wheredoivote.co.uk/

You don't need your polling card (as long as you're registered to vote).

Like a PP, I was already working out how young your MIL must be and how young her DC must be if she could still bf . . .Glad I can abandon trying to work it all out now Grin

I voted earlier

gruber · 08/06/2017 19:51

Well played! Grin I voted earlier though, changed the habit of a lifetime and went out on a limb...

ClearEyesFullHearts · 08/06/2017 19:53

Nice one. Hats off to you. Wink

BeverlyGoldberg · 08/06/2017 19:54

Superb thread! I thought someone finally had a mother in law worse than mine!

Oh and my MIL ate my cat.

BMacklin · 08/06/2017 19:57

Genius!

PyongyangKipperbang · 08/06/2017 19:57

I will never forget going to baby clinic with DS and two girls I was at school with (one 16, I was 17, other 18) were there with their babies. Their mum was there with her baby. They had given birth within a month of each other. HV said "oh is this X;s cousin then?" and the mum/grandma said "No, this is her Aunty" HV face was a picture!

"IABU to breastfeed my sister?" :o

PyongyangKipperbang · 08/06/2017 19:58

And I have voted btw, not that labour stand a chance but I had to try.

But YABU, people that want to vote have decided to vote by now and those that aren't bothered or don't want to will not change their mind because of Glitterglue on Mumsnet Wink

ineedaholidaynow · 08/06/2017 20:07

My MIL did wear my wedding dress but not to a cocktail party!

(misses point of thread Smile)

c3pu · 08/06/2017 20:07

I did my duty today, and talked somebody out of voting labour! :D

Sparklingbrook · 08/06/2017 20:08

Do people really need reminding? If they do then maybe they shouldn't be voting at all.

weeblueberry · 08/06/2017 20:11

Not even mad. Just impressed.

You should work for Buzzfeed. 😂

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 08/06/2017 20:11

What Sparkling said

Plus who reads a forum and thinks 'ooh I might vote because someone on the internet told me to'

DappledThings · 08/06/2017 20:18

Someone told me their friend admitted secretly bfing a baby they were babysitting when it woke up. Led to the question would you rather be someone else's baby or have someone else bf your baby?

I went with someone else feeding. I'd be a bit bothered but found the idea of feeding a baby unrelated to me much weirder.

Coddiwomple · 08/06/2017 20:20

Dear Lord, was the election today!? Someone should have mentioned it!

I was salivating there. As was the fake baby on your fake thread. Grin

LRDtheFeministDragon · 08/06/2017 20:21

Grin Damn, and I was coming in here to defend all breastfeeding MILs and remind you of our OAP-friendly breastfeeding commune in Swansea.

BalloonDinosaur · 08/06/2017 20:22

Haha, nice work OP. Though I now have a highly unpleasant mental imagine of my MIL

GlitterGlue · 08/06/2017 20:33

Oh I know if someone hasn't voted by now they probably won't, but it was worth a shot.
