To challenge FIL over this?

FIL has some interesting "political" views. He often makes comments when we see him or shares things on Facebook that I find extremely offensive and ignorant. He'd be the first to like/share posts from Britain First and the like, despite the fact that if you accused him of having borderline out and out racist views he'd deny it. However today he shared this post on Facebook and I think it's gone too far. I'm itching to comment on it, as I would challenge anyone else, but DP would prefer to ignore it to avoid a falling out. AIBU?

That's foul.

And I'm no fan of Corbyn.

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 04/06/2017 16:48

Just block him.

You can't argue with stupid.

Mrskeats · 04/06/2017 16:48

He's a moron and I would be going v low contact over that

Pinkheart5919 · 04/06/2017 16:49

As King says you can't argue with stupid, block the sick bastard

WellErrr · 04/06/2017 16:49

I'd just have as little to do with him as possible. I doubt he'd take any notice.

Ravenblack · 04/06/2017 16:52

That's fucking foul. I have a few family members (male and female,) and friends who are not wanting to vote Labour now, coz of Corbyn being a bit of a hippy, too-left wing, wanting tea parties with terrorists, and all sorts of other reasons (like his non-existent money tree,) but if any of them posted that; I would unfriend them - after telling them what a nob they are. Angry

OnionKnight · 04/06/2017 16:54

I'd call him out on it and then block him.

Siwdmae · 04/06/2017 17:17

I'd be tempted to write a scathing reply saying that it's a completely moronic post, then block him, but that would probably upset DP no forever ruin the relationship with your fil.

Block him from Facebook, it's a start.

Brittbugs80 · 04/06/2017 17:21

I'm not a Corbyn fan and generally accept that every single individual has the right to use their vote how they feel is best.

But this meme? No way. I'd want to challenge him but unfortunately, he sounds like he has gone way past reasoning with. Block him. What does his Son say?

Milktraylover · 04/06/2017 17:29

That's just vile. I can't stand corbyn at all but it's not funny or clever. It's just foul. He can vote how he pleases and we all have a opinion but that is just grossly inappropriate. If you have to comment i would just be clear that his political views are his own but that meme is unacceptable. Personally I would just unfollow or unfriend for the sake of DH and dc. He probably just thinks he is being funny. He is not
