Is this for real? Have I woken up and not realised it's April Fools' Day?
On the assumption that the answer to the previous question is no, then what the actual fuckerage was going through their heads?

Sorry that was meant to read the 11 year o,d parents were off on a fucking rollercoaster. I was decorating a birthday cake 🙈

I have my views, others have theirs. Personally I think it is unbelievably stupid. And for what, to go on a ride? It wasn't exactly necessary was it.
Given the fact their 11 year old wandered off it also says a lot to me about their ability to judge her actual capacity to be mature and trustworthy.

I love the way some of you have rationalised this, it's amazing.
My children are the most precious thing in the world to me, and to me this is stupid and neglectful.

Ah bollocks. Name change fail. 'EnglishHOD' is my response to your question to me @Ginliness

Wow! Are you suggesting that those of use who don't agree with you don't think our children are as precious as you think yours are?
There's not enough information in that article for us to make a judgment on the choices the parents made and I still suspect you hadn't read it to the end The way I read it, the 11yo was nearby. I'd trust my niece to look after DS in a park or similar so I don't necessarily think the parents did anything wrong.

There's no rationalising with perfection Yogi - best to ignore & leave people on their high horse.

YogiYoni · 02/06/2017 23:35

Thanks @Roz, but I've had gin (gasp! And there are children in the house!) so I'm in a spectacularly rational mood.

Completely missing the bigger picture but my first thought was at this time of year there would be wasps all round those bins... Shock

The 11 year old could have been sat on a bench a few feet away, unaware that concerned people were watching the pram.

When security arrived, they made themselves known, suggesting they were there all along. But that's boring and doesn't sell papers.
