Old thread, but I have just watched him on PMQ and I have a crush I like logic and like to watch law programmes on TV anyway, so bring it on!

I disagree, there is something about him that seems off.

I googled him and he reminded me of Billy Corkhill from Brookside

My immediate reaction to that was "Eww! No he doesn't, Keir Starmer's quite nice-looking."

The Corkhill I had in mind was Jimmy Yes, I can see what you mean about Billy though ...

There is something quite attractive about him and he was certainly good looking in a boyish way when he was younger. I never found Billy Corkhill remotely attractive but there is a slight resemblance.

I like him, seems like a really decent person. I also like Nick Thomas-Symonds, Andy Burnham is the only one I find attractive though.

Starmer is growing on me. Boris hates being held to account and I think Starmer will do that well.

But apparently he is the inspiration for Mr Darcey in Bridget Jones

I met him at a rally during last election campaign.

First - he was very charismatic.

Second - great handshake. Not over bearing, but not damp or limp. I put great weight on handshakes!!

I didn't notice him being short.. I would guess around DH's height of 5'10.

I can see the Darcey thing when he was younger. I'm surprised he is nearly 60, he does look good.

I remember him being on Jeremy Vine years ago when he was head of the CPS. He explained how prosecutions work, very clearly and reasonably without being patronising. I remember it as was so impressed by him.

Next election will be Starmer v Sunak I reckon

This post aged well. Starmer was very guessable, but Johnson not making it to the election was a bigger call.

I'm guessing that you didn't foresee there being another Tory leader between Johnson and Sunak though.
