Just had a row with my mum over feeding my nephew marshmallows. I say it's a terrible idea, because if the choking risk. She says it's fine and she wouldn't let him choke. My sister has said she doesn't want him feeding so much sugar.

Who is BU?

It's hard to think of a less appropriate food for a 1 year old, tbh. Sugar + choking risk + no nutritional value = why?!

She's being doubly unreasonable by a) feeding him something which is basically just sugar even though your sister has said no sugar, and b) feeding him something that he could choke on

Apart from the fact that its ridiculous to feed sweets to a baby, what does she mean by she wouldnt let him choke? She's being silly, and its not her child. You are not overreacting.
