Rousette Glad your DDs are ok. My DD was at borough market earlier today although left a few hours before this happened. She was with a friend who is sleeping over at ours tonight. They both seem a bit shaken at being so close to this. This feels a bit too close to home - we have spent thousands of hours around that area. Thoughts to those injured and bereaved or worried about loved ones

Thanks Ginger and Saffron. Have to say I didn't sleep, but I woke at 3am and put on the telly as I just felt compelled to find out what had happened. There are parents/families out there who will be awake night after night in grief or in worry and it is so awful this has happened again. I think it hit home more for me because I was online as it happened. I want my 3 DCs to come home and live in a big shed in the bottom of the garden so I can keep them safe.

I see in the Guardian that they haven't released any info on the attackers.

Roussette I had difficulty sleeping too. I had the stressful task of discussing an age appropriate version of last night's attacks with my dcs, who are autistic and have high anxiety. As we live in London and use public transport, they're likely to see newspapers on the tube and bus and I don't want them to hear about it while we're out in public. At home is best, so I can answer any questions they have and reassure them.
