Is it just me or does anyone else find the whole thinly veiled digs at people on social media really childish and irritating? Most of the time it's obvious who it's directed at so also really pointless!

Currently have two friends of mine in some kind of social media war, posting statuses/picture quotes back and forth & it's driving me nuts!

Yes, I know, I can just come off it (and do!) But just wish they'd just have it out in private instead of broadcasting it :/ or AIBU?

Facebook is a fantastic indicator of people's emotional intelligence.

It's annoying.

I've got a friend who I supported her through a lot of issue and she ditched all her friends when she met a guy online. Result- lots of "my man is my world" shares. Unplanned pregnancy = happy family shares. He left before baby was born = strong mamma, all my baby needs is her mum, I'm better on my own shares.

Personal favourite is someone who for the last 10 years calls her boyfriend, fiance, husband all the names under the sun on Facebook, then the top daddy gets shared, then he's a crap dad & then there's a pregnancy announcement.

When your friend likes a post, you can click on the ^ in the right hand corner of the post and then click hide this post, if you do this to 4 or 5 posts that she's liked then you'll stop seeing them 👍🏻 But will still see her statuses

I live in a close and there's currently an incredibly PA war of words and memes going on between a few different neighbours.

The weird thing is that they stand out in the close and talk to each other without mentioning any of the things they've put on Facebook.

It's bizarre!

GoodEyebrowDay · 01/06/2017 07:55

Livia SEE! I KNEW this happened. I told my DH I thought my phone listened to my conversations because the next day whatever we talked about popped up in an advert. He thought I was mental

You can't unfollow everyone annoying in case you miss something important. My dbro is a fb twit. Heaven forbid I should unfollow him and miss out on his musings on various football teams.

Bonkerz · 01/06/2017 09:07

I love nothing more than a passive aggressive meme but it's even funnier to put one on for no reason and see whose got a guilty conscience!

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 01/06/2017 10:49

good it was the same one, down to the brand and price Shock

I'm not normally one of the tinfoil hat brigade but I'm rethinking...

Hahaha! Grin
Something really good like "in the darkest times it obvious who your true friends are" / "I really thought I could trust you, obviously not"
