To expect fluffy towels to stay fluffy!! What IS the secret?!

Does it involve a tumble drier? 'cause we don't have one, or any space to put one 😥

Where can I buy nice fluffy towels and HOW do I keep them fluffy? Currently have a decent set of scratchy, cardboardy "Egyptian Cotton" towels purchased in vain last year ...

I don't use fabric softener with my towels as I understand that blocks the fibres and can make them hard, what else am I doing wrong?

Send them to laundry if no dryer and replace if worn. Or embrace scratchy which are also nice

I tumble dry mine. I have the dryer balls as well, so it fluffs them up nicely.

You need to tumble them. I hang mine on the line because I like them rough and crispy

Soak them for a while in white vinegar.

Try The White Company hydrocotton towels. V fluffy even without tumble drying.

I had crispy towels for years (no tumble dryer). Then we got a combo washer dryer. Works brilliantly. Towels and emergency drying are all I tumble.

about half the detergent that you'd normally use….and a tumble drier.
Sorry.

I have some Egyptian cotton towels from Dunelm, live in hard water area, use half the amount of fabric conditioner as a regular wash, no
tumble dryer, they are fluffy, oh and wash on 60 wash.

Zero twist towels.
