To find the lack of decent nursing clothes annoying

I'm breastfeeding and I can't find anything to wear!!
Everything is either expensive, black, dark blue, brown or ugly! I'll happily feed in public but not so much when I have to get my whole boob out or lift my top so my belly is hanging out.
What do you wear?

I second what PP said about New Look, though they're down as 'Maternity tops' they're nursing accessible too. I bought black t shirt and long sleeved blue wrap top and really like both. Very decently priced too.

I've bought some cheap, think cotton, strapless bandeau tops.

I wear one every day underneath my normal tops. Normal top comes up, belly is covered by the bandeau top, bandeau top slips down easily as no straps and then open bf bra. I've not bothered to use any cover ups as my normal top bunches and covers my boob.

That's a particular kind of clothes. But you don't need to buy all nursing clothes, just some separates or lower cut stuff. You just need to be able to get a nipple either out the bottom or over the top!

thin cotton

I just wore normal stretchy clothes. So tunic dresses in jersey fabric that I could tug down, with a short vest underneath to pull up, or normal t-shirts. Wrap tops and dresses are the easiest.

I got a dress made at tiny vikings, which was a recommendation on the Can I breastfeed in it Facebook page. It's an online made to measure site with loads of nice fabrics. Gorgeous kids stuff too. There are a few dress designs including a skater type dress and a pencil one. I wear it all the time and am about to order a second!

Yes sorry OP a nursing cover wouldn't be much good over those dresses! Sorry if my earlier post was less than helpful. Blush

Another one recommending that fb group - it's really helpful when you're breastfeeding.

Friend of mine had a bunch of really nice floaty chiffon-style tops that she wore over normal vest tops. She got them all off Amazon of all places. She always looked lovely.
