Bee Sex in my garden

Clutching my pearls here, but I have just watched two bees DTD in my garden. Respect to drones is all I can say. I had always assumed they did it in flight and it was a quicky, but this was on the ground and went on for longer than I would have thought, far longer than the people opposite in their car the other week anyhow, but that's another story......

viques one of the sweetest posts ever, the little bee sex thing. reminds me of the birds in the garden thread a couple of months ago.

i saw 2 bees having sex once, on a pavement, i think thats what they were doing. one was very big (the queen?) and some male drone wondering by? i can't pretend to know for sure, not being a naturalist, naturist or whatever ...

Ah yes pigeon sex! Those dirty birds are at it constantly on my wall. I'm just praying I never come back as a pigeon!

Had two daddy long legs, well a daddy long legs and a mummy long legs, having sex on my living room wall last night.

Can't help feeling it's a bit rude to just rock up to someone's living room wall and start getting frisky without so much as a by your leave.

I never took the birds and the bees talk literally. Maybe I should have. It all sounds fascinating -rather perverse-

Wood pigeons getting jiggy wid it on the telegraph line above our back garden is an endless source of fascination for DD3, seven. She watches them from her bedroom window. Natural education for her.
