I know this sounds really bad, but after seeing friend I felt a pang of jealousy that her 6 week old dd sleeps through and has done for the last 4 weeks.
I know I shouldn't compare, I think I'm just hormonal - and still very sleep deprived haha!

My 18mo has never slept later than 5am, and still wakes at least once in the night. I'd strongly encourage you not to compare. I used to call it 'compare and despair'. I was sorely jealous of Mum friends when mine woke hourly for 3-4 months.

Most are far better than mine though. Hang on in there - it'll get easier much soon. In fact we all have our own challenges so maybe your little one is easier in other respects. xxFlowers

Meh.

She's talking out of her well slept, refreshed ass.

Oysterbabe · 25/05/2017 20:07

It's not asleep it's just pretending so it doesn't have to talk to her.

A colleague has just come back to work after paternity leave and informed us his three week old ds sleeps through. Except he doesn't, he wakes at least every two and a half hours for feeds but his DW does those Wink

iwannapuppy · 25/05/2017 20:21

I was exactly the same. My ds is 7 months and has been a pita with sleep since day 1. I used to be jealous of every baby I saw sleeping. I've learned to make my peace with it though and keep telling myself that he is bound to be an angel toddler......because I bloody deserve it!! Wink

YANBU mine is 2 on Sunday and still not sleeping through! I'm also now a single parent and it's so hard!

@Oysterbabe that's made me laugh way more than it should 😂🙈

No, I hate her too. 4.5yo DD rarely sleeps through.

my 8 month old boy slept through from about 6 weeks - i would say its highly abnormal. My daughter who is 3 slept through from 2 years-ish - babies really do vary Smile. I know what a crazy time it is though - my daughter was an awful sleeper and i sympathise. I will (and does!) get better i promise!
