I've just seen someone post their new menu on FB - they're so pleased with it and I'm happy to see young people making a success in a lovely new restaurant, but...(cringe)... the dessert menu is spelled....
DESERT Shock AAAAARGH!!
WIBU to point this out?
Should I just sit on my hands?!
Oh, the horror!

My DD wrote in some primary school geog homework that sugar was grown in Egypt, and that it was covered in dessert.

My local pub has a menu with sections for 'Vegetarians', 'Carnivores' and 'Pescatorians'.

I posted it on FB and spent an evening making fish-based Conservative party jokes with friends (Steven Crabb, Douglas Carpswell, etc...)

WomblingThree · 25/05/2017 18:26

You should tell them, because if you don't, every third customer who comes in their restaurant will. Plus it looks unprofessional. If they can't even proof read their menus, what else can't they do.

We were in cabbages and condoms in Bangkok over christmas one year. They had Christmas decorations, including a life sized santa, made out of condoms, and after our meal we got two condoms with the bill instead of the usual mints.

There are branches of a health food restaurant called 'Skinnys' near where I live and it really, really irritates me that they don't use an apostrophe before the 's'. Where's that apostrophe vigilante from Bristol when you need him?

I agree - be a Gobi tween & ask if the printers made a mistake. Just do it Atacama moment

There used to be a cafe in our local town called "fat fanny's". I couldn't eat in there the name put me off

Rednailsandnaeknickers · 26/05/2017 22:39

Just popping in to give iklboo a Star for the desert puns. 👍

CaoNiMartacus · 26/05/2017 23:04

Just send him a quick message Atacama moment...

lazycrazyhazy · 26/05/2017 23:16

Tell them. If it was the printer error they may get the replacements free. I had something printed and a mistake was made, I was able to prove the error was not mine and the item was reprinted for free. It was the ink colour in that case.

To the poster who drew attention to 'bob's diner desserts'
I think you were suggesting that diner was the same as dinner but just spelt in some contemporary way:
In fact, Diner and dinner are pronounced differently and mean entirely different things.

QueenMortificado · 26/05/2017 23:45

Good joke onemorecup

5OBalesofHay · 26/05/2017 23:46

Pudding surely

honeysucklejasmine · 26/05/2017 23:47

I've been to C&C in Bangkok. V nice food, great message, good artwork created from condoms! We're about to move to Cheltenham area so pleased to hear there's one there too.

WalkingInTheAir13 · 27/05/2017 00:26

No mad diners will be eating there - that's for sure!
However, Oasis have been spotted having lunch there together with that well-known camel with three humps, Humphrey.
OMG! when it comes to spelling, those restaurant owners are just burying their heads in the sand.
