Please could you recommend me your favourite breastpads for using at night when baby is sleeping lng stretches? Fed up of waking up soaking wet!

Lansonol & tommee Tippee ones were the only ones that didn't leak for me and as my HV kindly pointed out ' I had a supply that would feed a village full of babies'

sadmum2017 · 21/05/2017 07:45

Another vote for Lansinoh pads. I tried all the supermarket brands, would literally stuff handfuls in my bra at night, but always leaked. The lansinoh ones have nappy crystals in them that turn to a gel when wet. They are excellent and have saved my sanity.

Doublejeopardy · 21/05/2017 07:45

I had the reusable ones they were great

Lelly0503 · 21/05/2017 08:00

Sorry to hijack. What bras do you all wear whilst you sleep? I am only 26 weeks but leak quite heavily all through the evening and night. I bought breast pads stupidly not realising they go inside a bra. I thought they just stuck to your skin! The trouble is my boobs hurt so much I can't wait to get my bra off. But then i leak all evening and wake up with massive wet patches. So I wanna get a bra that's comfy to sleep in- what ones do you all use? X

Intransige · 21/05/2017 08:14

Lelly, I wear these and these.

Intransige · 21/05/2017 08:17

Not at the same time obviously!

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 21/05/2017 08:22

Lelly I wear Bravissimo pyjamas or "yoga tops" for sleep. Yoga tops are easy to get boobs out of for breastfeeding and I cut holes in one for handsfree breast pumping.

Very cheap stretchy sports bras from Tesco. They'd be rubbish sports bras as they're very soft and give zero support but they make excellent bras for sleeping in Grin. They're more like a stretchy Cropped vest and have no tight bits if that makes sense.

Little lambs washable bamboo pads. I had a very heavy, leaky flow so needed them for a long time. Not clammy and sticky, good absorbancy.

guinnessgirl · 21/05/2017 08:33

Lansinoh here too. Reusable fabric ones were great once babies had settled into a good feed routine (after 3 months).

1hamwich4 · 21/05/2017 08:50

Try Lilypadz silicone ones. Expensive but last about six weeks. They 'seal' you up so you don't leak- not 100% I found but YMMV. I used them plus stuffed a muslin in my bra to catch the drips.

voobylooby · 21/05/2017 09:05

Thanks everyone! Already wearing cheap sports bras so that's good.
Tried breast shells and they leaked laying down sadly.
Might try Lansinoh first as they seem to have had the most votes- interested in the reusable ones too though, especially seeing as we now always have washing on!

Lansinoh. Two per cup at night.

hibbledobble · 21/05/2017 10:16

Cheeky mama reusable ones. If you leak a lot lasinoh disposables may be bettrt

FlipperSkipper · 21/05/2017 10:19

Lansinoh in the day, bamboo reusable ones at night. I wear new look maternity crop top bras at night.

voobylooby · 25/05/2017 03:05

Got some Tommie tippies as that was the only branded one in the supermarket I went to.....they're working a treat!
