Seriously, why is the media getting so bloody worked up over this? The DM in particular is practically orgasming over every tiny little detail.

She's a nobody, she's not important. She's just some workshy, over privileged waste of space who's only claim to fame is being the Duchess of Camebridge's sister. But boy does she love to milk it. All the things she could have done with that fantastic education and she's done sweet FA!

AIBU to wish she'd go away and the press would stop going on about her? What is the point of her?

That's pretty harsh. I just Googled her and it says she works for her parents company, has her own company, writes for various magazines, wrote a few books, and does charity work.

NapQueen they've already fenced off an area for the paps. Apparently they'll be walking up the drive bit where they've all been gathered.

gillybeanz · 20/05/2017 11:21

Is it really national news?
I suppose plenty of people will be interested though.
I wouldn't have wanted my wedding to be a circus, I pity her really.
It never bodes well for a marriage to start of so falsely, and in the public eye. Sad
Maybe the media is to see the royals, and I can see the royal children stealing the show too.

Fanciedachange17 · 20/05/2017 11:21

Who?

BandeauSally · 20/05/2017 11:21

Oh wow! I don't think I've seen somebody quite so angry about something they don't care about in a really long time. Grin

AwaywiththePixies27 · 20/05/2017 11:24

You sound like a family member of mine I'm no longer keen on. This was also said to me as I went on to study at uni.
I've seen became ill, disabled myself and looking after my two DCs singlehandedly, the youngest of which has ASD. So yeah, my fantastic education was 'wasted' too but you know, shit happens.

BorisTrumpsHair · 20/05/2017 11:24

Who?

😜

herecomesthsun · 20/05/2017 11:25

Good luck to them. Not that interested, no.

Why has it started off so falsely? Haven't they been dating for years? Confused

pictish · 20/05/2017 11:26

I'm not going to provide a character assassination of Pippa Middleton because I've never met the woman but it's true to say I have zero interest in her wedding.
Chris Evans has been burbling about it on R2 the entire week. Shut up you arselicker.

GOASTT · 20/05/2017 11:28

You give enough of a shit to post...

CheeseCakeSunflowers · 20/05/2017 11:31

For someone who doesn't give a shit you seem to know an awful lot about Pippa and the wedding. I consider myself a royalist but I know very little about her and I've been ignoring most of the coverage about the wedding. Its fine to report about it for people who are interested and for those who aren't, me included, it can be ignored.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 20/05/2017 11:31

Ive got sky news on and they're talking about the football. So not all press are fawning over it clearly.

NoLoveofMine · 20/05/2017 11:34

To be fair it is a little irksome. I know next to nothing about her and wouldn't care either way but the radio keep talking about it at every news bulletin when I'm trying to listen to the programme. It's a minor annoyance because I keep being reminded of something I have no interest in which I don't feel is "news" at all and would rather be oblivious to.

gillybeanz · 20/05/2017 11:39

Away

I meant being thrust, or pushing yourself into the public eye.
The media wouldn't have shown an interest if she wasn't Kate's sister, she hasn't done anything special to become famous.
This in itself is false.
There again I can imagine she hasn't had much say in the matter due to her royal guest list.
I think her mum has probably orchestrated much of the day too.

NapQueen · 20/05/2017 11:40

Donna air has arrived in full on cream. Isnt that a no no?

SarahOoo · 20/05/2017 11:42

A wedding and a connection to the royal family?? Sign me up!!

In regards to the OPs comment on her education and her doing 'sweet FA'...I'm pretty sure she's got more money (I'm talking earned money through her ahem books and/or special guest blog posts) than most of us.

Now stop bitching and doing 'sweet FA' on MN & get on with your day....

Redredredrose · 20/05/2017 11:44

I do want to see her dress but that's the sum total of my interest.

Well actually I want to see what they're all wearing.

Had no idea she was getting married until a few days ago! No clue it was today until I saw this thread.

I am totally indifferent to the entire thing.

It is to be expected from the DM.
