To expect people to say 'I love you' back to DS when he says it, and not go eewwww....

When Ds says that he loves us we always say 'I love you too' He is really loving and loves to know that people love him too. When Ds says it to BIl, BIL say 'Gay!!!!' and Dh's mate says 'ewwwwwwwww' It really annoys me, as DS is only 9 and he knows what gay means but telling his uncle that he love him doesn't make him gay, and I am getting more and more annoyed with it, everytime it happens. It will get to the stage when DS will stop saying it, and I will be and when that happens especially if its down to his uncle and Dh's mate.

Good luck for scan, Sparkly.

Very sad about your BIL's pathetic childish attitude, but your ds seems to have got the situation under control.

(My dd2 wants to be a boy when she grows up, so she can marry me... !)

SparklyGothKat · 18/03/2007 18:06

Ellbell Thanks. He is very childish. Last night I put on a CD from the late 90s which had a lot of boy bands on it, he kept on and on about gays, and singing along but changing the words, like 'If you're not the one' by Daniel Bedingfield he changed the words in the corus to 'I don't want to be a gay' etcetc. I said I had concerns about him and he asked why, I replied that I thought he had a gay complex.... He shut up after that.

2shoes · 18/03/2007 19:23

oh and big CONGRATULIONS

charlottegeorgiaolivermums · 18/03/2007 22:13

Good luck for scan tomorrow. So please to her ds got in 1st with BIL I'd loved to have seen his face

ShowOfHands · 18/03/2007 22:25

Your DS sounds absolutely lovely. Your BIL sounds like he has serious issues. My DH is a fully grown man and quite happily says I love you to his brothers/Dad when they hang up the phone/say goodbye. Only yesterday BIL came to see DH at work, they hugged, both said I love you and one of DH's colleagues said 'oh how gay'. He's a nob jockey too (DH's colleague), just like your BIL. I hope your DS continues to be such a lovely affectionate little boy.

And good luck for the scan.

SparklyGothKat · 18/03/2007 22:32

His face was picture, I was laughing and so was DH. Bil's face was like and he didn't know what to say. PMSL.

SpiderVersed · 02/08/2022 09:20

Geez, Abbie, why are you dredging up 15 year old threads. The little boy concerned is 24 now!

JustJoinedRightNow · 02/08/2022 09:22

Third thread I’ve seen that Abbie has revived.

Maybe it’s a cry for help? They’re stuck in 2007? Only other explanation is they’re spectacularly dim

@mnhq is there any way of stopping @xxAbbieC from the weirdness they are doing this morning?! Every thread I've clicked on so far has been a zombie that they have resurrected for no reason
