To feel that it's hard to fit it all in?

Am I just really incapable or do I have all my priorities wrong? So I have two children 5 in school and age 2 at home. I work two days a week, out of the house 8-7pm. The children's bedtime is 8 but I still sit with 2yo still she's asleep, and that can be 9 or even later. She is usually in with me at 6am. School run is 40mins return twice a day.

So we have a 4 bed house and I have a cleaner who does 4hours a week inc ironing shirts and sometimes changing bedclothes. My husband is out of the house 6-7 mon-thurs and 6-9 Friday. We often have busy weekends. He plays with kids a lot and does his washing and manages bills etc. I do the rest. AIBU to find it hard work and sometimes overwhelming when I have a cleaner and clearly lots of people don't. Where am I going wrong?

Our plans were for me to be full time when they were both in school. Once DD1 started school and we saw the reality of that our plans changed!

OP your life mirrors mine, except minus the cleaner. Neither of the DC sleep, I am exhausted all the time. The 2 year old is also going through a clingy stage which makes cleaning very difficult.

I work 4 weekdays and a Saturday.

I've just handed my notice in as the company is dreadful, and I'm really struggling with everything at home due to the nature of Dhs work.

It's pretty much me doing everything, with Dh chipping in when he's home.

It's fucking exhausting. Luckily we don't rely on my wage (fun money) so it's easy enough for me to quit, and get something else soon.

It's all the clubs they're doing too after school, and then homework, reading etc.

I just can't keep up. We don't have anyone nearby to help either. My dm and df both elderly and frail need help too.

We had a cleaner at one point, but it still didn't feel like help, as the dinner needs cooking, the laundry needs doing, washing up, shopping (hate online shopping btw), tidying, and you have to clean in between.

I can relate op, it is overwhelming. Don't think you're doing anything wrong.

What does your Dh do during the weekend?

Oops sorry op I read that as you having a baby and a 2 yo when you talked about your general Monday!

Jeez you do the school run, baby music class and go swimming before midday? You must be superwoman. Flowers

Ah thanks booboo! I thought everyone would say I'm very inefficient/prioritising wring but everyone has been very nice!
