To be worried about baby's development

DD is 6 months old and I'm a FTM so everything is new and everything is a worry!

DD doesn't roll over and doesn't really show any interest in doing so. I try to encourage her and she's happy enough on her tummy for a short time, but doesn't make any effort to move around. She can't sit unaided either.

My HV told me that if she couldn't roll by 6 months it could be cause for concern. I'm also surrounded by mums with much younger babies who all seem to roll, sit, babble etc...

Am I worrying unnecessarily or should I be concerned?

She sounds happy and healthy! Milestones are made from measuring a broad range of development across babies of the same age, some will do things very quickly and others will do things much much later all of it is normal.
Keep up with tummy time and support muscle development by holding toys over her head and encouraging her to look upwards while she's on her tummy, she'll get there! Try not to worry or compare her to other babies, I know that's difficult but she's her own person and will do things in her own time and pace just like adults do.

Thank you for all the responses....I feel a lot better now!

She's a very happy baby. And if there were milestones for sleeping with legs in the air or chewing on a foot, she'd be way ahead of the game!

She sounds ok to me. My first hated being on his tummy and never crawled. He loved being on his feet though and walked relatively early. They all develop differently (my second is a crawler)

I freaked out with my dd at 6 months. She had never tried to use her hands for anything, no reaching no grabbing no playing with her fingers. She didn't roll at all. She would just lie like a little beached whale on a mat.
My bf's dd was grabbing and rolling all over the place.
Otherwise my dd was normal. She would communicate by smiles and cries she put on weight and grew etc.

Then one day at about 8 months she just flipped herself over and hated it. Then she started noticing her hands and reaching for toys. Then at 10 months she started crawling and at 14 months took her first steps.
She's 100% normal.

I was worried to death at the time though.
